So on Sunday evening, I drop off my Gen 2 Prius for an Invertor Cooling pump to be replaced. I ask them to replace the pump which is easy to get to and they have the part. It should take less than 1 hour to replace the pump. I would have done it myself but Auto Zone and Advanced did not have this pump in stock and I needed the car for my wife to be able to drive to work. They could not get the car done on Monday and had to finish it on Tuesday. So two days to replace a pump. Then on Wednesday my wife drives the car to work and gets the same error message on her way home when we dropped the car off on Sunday evening. Error POA93 "Inverter A cooling System Performance" and what did I find when I opened the hood, the pump was not connected. So I sent the pictures to them, and this said "the plug had to have come off". This style of plug is impossible for it to come off while driving since it has a mechanical fastener holding it in place and it is plugged from above. The only way it was not hooked up is because it was left unplugged. This was in their shop for 2 days and they wanted to charge me close to $800 for this job. Not impressed with a pump that costs $188.19. Then I asked if this pump is covered under a safety recall. I will say they did sharpen their pencil when I said their first estimate to replace the pump was $800 and was way overpriced. More
