I recently bought an EV ID. 4 from Tynan's. The buying experience was great and my salesperson, Zach, was very helpful and engaging. No pressure, and very patient with my questio 4 from Tynan's. But one of the reasons I bought this car is because it qualifies for the $7,500 Federal tax credit, and when it came time to settle up I said I wanted to pay cash. I was told I could not pay cash if I wanted to get the tax credit, but needed to finance or lease the car. 72 months at almost 9%. Chris in finance told me I could pay it off, but had to make at least five payments. That's still hundreds in interest over 5 months, but with the credits I still had a great price, so I signed the paperwork and drove away in my new EV. When the finance paperwork came three weeks later and I registered for the online finance portal, I immediately saw a button that said "Get your current payoff quote " I clicked it and three more clicks and five minutes later I had paid off the car. So that five payment minimum was complete xx. I still paid almost $200 in interest. And why couldn't I have paid cash initially? I felt taken advantage of. I was either lied to or someone higher up told the staff at the dealership something that just isn't true. More

I appreciate you treating people like they have the intelligence to make educated decisions instead of being pressured into taking care of things that aren’t necessarily an issue at the moment. The service writer was very kind, understanding and did not try to sway decisions in any way. He was very responsive and helped me in any way he could.
