Great prices! Large inventory. Quality vehicles. This was our first experience in dealing with such a large-volume dealership. While we were very impressed with the vehicle inventory, quality and pr This was our first experience in dealing with such a large-volume dealership. While we were very impressed with the vehicle inventory, quality and prices, the customer service was not quite what we have been used to in our past purchasing experiences. Our Product Specialist Derek Wilson was wonderful, helpful and very knowledgeable. It was very convenient to be able to communicate with him through texting, and to be able to text photos of necessary documentation. In dealing with the finance department, however, communication was a problem. Stephanie attempted to pass on finance info (with no explanatory or even introductory text other than the link) through my husband's email; but he was traveling out of country at the time & had no idea who was sending him the link. Her link had only a 2-hour window. Needless to say, by the time he found a location with wifi connection & read the email, he was unable to open the link--VERY frustrating! She may have attempted to call, but I cannot say for sure. I had a missed call from the dealership, but no voicemail, so have no idea who it was. The day before we were to sign the paperwork, neither of us had spoken to Stephanie and we had no earthly idea what type of finance rate she was offering. I don't know if this situation was a fluke, or if this is your normal way of doing business. Perhaps you are accustomed to your clients relying on you as their only source of financing, but some people do have other options available to them. I was offended that we were expected to blindly show up to sign papers & take whatever financing she offered. The day we picked up our truck, we notified our salesman Derek 1.5 hours in advance that we would be there. When we arrived, we waited quite a while for the finance person, only to find that he had gone to lunch. We then went to lunch and shortly after we returned, were able to complete the paperwork. What started out as a 4-5 hour purchasing excursion (3 hours' travel time) turned into a 7+ hour ordeal. We are very happy with our vehicle and the price we paid for it. And we will certainly consider Vernon Auto Group in the future for ourselves, and will refer friends. We will just have a better idea of what to expect. More
