Great in theory, just good in practice This dealership operates under the premise that they offer their lowest possible price from the get go, which is something I can attest to being true. This dealership operates under the premise that they offer their lowest possible price from the get go, which is something I can attest to being true. The price they offered was certainly competitive - not jaw dropping, but definitely a good price. The downside: This dealership is in the middle of nowhere. It's success is due almost entirely to its competitive pricing. That said, my issue is not with the price, but with the trade-in (a fairly common occurrence in car buying). We were quoted a certain price for our trade by a local dealership, but the draw of Vernon's slightly better price (about $1k more off MSRP), and more importantly their representation via phone that they would match or beat the offer for our trade, persuaded is to drive 3 hours each way to buy the vehicle at Vernon. To our surprise and frustration, Vernon said the vehicle had hail damage and that they were now offering $500 less than the other dealership, who mind you, saw the same exact vehicle they did, including any hail damage. So now instead of a significantly better deal, we ended up driving 6 hours total (not to mention the 3 1/2 we spent at the dealership) for just a couple hundred dollars difference in price. Moral of the story? They have you once you've driven that far for their deal. That said, their customer service and friendliness really was excellent. Dieter Brannan, in particular, was fantastic. I truly wish they'd not surprised us with the knock on or trade value, as this review would've read much, much differently. I hope that $500 was worth it to them, cause rather than applauding them for having matched a competitor's trade allowance and then beat their price, we left feeling like they'd taken full advantage of the distance we'd traveled.
