It’s nice to have a place where business needs can coexist with customer wants. It’s also helpful when that same place can offer you something that you never expected coming into the atmosphere. Adam Kapshat is my service technician and is phenomenal. Unfortunately, my last experience was poor. I arrived at 8:30 - as I entered David held up his finger at me to sign to me to stop. I stopped very c Unfortunately, my last experience was poor. I arrived at 8:30 - as I entered David held up his finger at me to sign to me to stop. I stopped very close to the garage door. When it closed it vibrated my truck. I asked David if it hit my truck, he walked back then approached my window and just stared at me. I asked again and he didn’t respond (standing very close to my door). So I said excuse me, began opening the door and he said “Man, remain in your car.” As if he were the authority. Because of his lack of response, lack of empathy - coupled with his poor communication - I went to inspect. He didn’t say anything after I got back in. My truck did not get hit by the door…it was just so close the vibrations felt like it hit my truck. So he’s staring at me and I explain this to him. I said - first you are in a service industry. You don’t greet me kindly - hold up a hand and tell me to stop. I’ve had trauma with being car jacked and rear ended by a semi…if I ask a simple question, you should respond. So talk kinder and stop being rude. He replies again with “MA’AM JUST PULL UP OVER THERE.” With a rude look on his face. Extremely unprofessional. Then he goes to control the narrative and runs in to talk to the 1st technician sitting at the first desk. I speak to Adam, he apologizes on behalf of the person. I say sorry - not the best way to start but it’s okay. They take my truck back and tell me it should be ready in 1-2 hours. At hour 3, I chat Adam, he says it’s ready- they were supposed to do an oil change and wash and vacuum. The oil change was 99$! I later found out it was supposed to be 198$. Unreal! I was frustrated that I pay 98$ for a general service that should cost between 30-45$ and to that end the car was filthy upon return. I just expect more from a dealership such as VW. We are a family of VW owners…my children are preparing to drive in the next couple of years and we have purchased multiple vehicles from here. I have been a long standing customer since 2018. I’m not sure if I will continue getting services with VW. Not something you expect from a place that is supposed to be top of the line in class…Adam needs a raise. He needs to train others bc he is amazing but some of the other associates are NOT Value Creators for your customers…. More
