Salesman said car had two keys, which I told him was important to me. When car was delivered there was only one key. Now I have to spend $400 to get another one. They also tried to add a $499 charge on important to me. When car was delivered there was only one key. Now I have to spend $400 to get another one. They also tried to add a $499 charge on invoice for a tracking device on the car that they never told me about, nor did I even have a use for when I questioned the charge. I made them remove it. More

Was a pleasure entering the bright, clean showroom and being greeted by a friendly, knowledgeable staff. I would gladly recommend Volkswagen of Salem to any of my friends and family. being greeted by a friendly, knowledgeable staff. My vehicle was brought into the service center on Tuesday, 4/8. I was informed later that afternoon that the car would be kept overnight and most likely for a couple business days as a part needed to Tuesday, 4/8. I was informed later that afternoon that the car would be kept overnight and most likely for a couple business days as a part needed to be ordered (I had been told the part would take 2 days to arrive). I was next updated on Thursday, 4/10 that the part had not yet arrived, but I would be given an update on Friday if the part had arrived, and whether my vehicle would be ready that day. I did not receive an update on Friday; I then tried reaching out multiple times on Saturday looking for an update, only be receive a text message from a David Quarles that the techs were off that day and that the service manager would reach out to me first thing Monday (as I do understand the service center is closed on Sunday’s). I did not receive any update on Monday as I was promised. I was informed Tuesday 4/15 that my vehicle was ready. I am thoroughly disappointed and frustrated in Volkswagen’s lack of communication with me, making promises for follow up that were never done, and the dealership holding my car for a week with the bare minimum of communication. From the communication I did receive, I was not informed what part was needed and what was replaced until I asked when picking my car up on 4/15. When I asked the service rep, Devin, over the phone on 4/8, he was only able to confirm for me that there was an issue related to the battery without additional specification. More
Volkswagen of Salem has a great shop. They take care of all my maintenance on both my vehicles. They take care of all my maintenance on both my vehicles. More
It was very clean and had a positive vibe. The staff was friendly. However, I feel that the staff I spoke with could have been both more knowledgeable and more prepared. The staff was friendly.
