My husband and I thought long and carefully about providing a review. One reason is we doubt much will come of it. The sales team were nice and Marlene was pleasant and helpful. Jeff Byer's 3pm hard stop during the day made it hard to meet. When we did it was rush rush rush. Hurry hurry hurry, then come back anytime if you have questions on your new car. I have questions but I haven't been back. We had such a great first Lexus experience with Jeff Margolis that the expectation was high for a similar/same next buying experience. Sadly it fell far short. Before buying I wanted to test drive an NX350h AWD but one wasn't available. So I was given an NX350 AWD to test drive. It was nice but the 2 cars are not the same! (I'd bet $$ it had regular tires.) We HATE the run flat tires on the new NX350h. It is not a smooth ride at all. Every bump in the road is felt in rocking, jiggling and jostling while driving, and especially riding in the front passenger seat. We weren't given an option on tires. Run flats were made to sound they were an upgrade. Rather they have greatly detracted from the enjoyment of driving my new car. In comparison my 2020 NX300 F-Sport AWD was a very smooth ride. I have buyer's remorse for trading it in as it was great for traveling. Just a great car. One other thing I want to make someone/anyone/everyone aware of. I reported this back to the sales and finance team and their response was complete silence. The new NX350h AWD came with AWFL/Cargo Mats at $350. Maybe this is a plus in Canada where my car was built. Not so much Texas. Very sadly they off-gassed so bad as to obliterate the new car smell. On the first day I was in the car 3 hrs driving to and from the airport. By the time I got home the rubber mat fumes were overwhelming. I had a headache, sore throat, and burning eyes and couldn't wait to pull them out to put the regular carpet mats down. That was August 6th, today on Oct. 26th the rubber smell lingers, and I don't know what to do with the AWFUL/Cargo Mats. We like the mileage it gets and it is a pretty, new vehicle. I so want to love driving it, my husband doesn't like it at all. We feel stuck with the run flats until time to replace them. I never want run flats ever again. I will tell everyone looking to get them on an NX350h to be prepared for a rough ride and to have less driving enjoyment. Buying a car as a single person is always challenging but Dave Loving made it a stressless experience. And Sam was also very amenable and fun. Excellent overall experience. I knew what I was looking for before arriving which helped tremendously. The end to end process was fast, efficient, and met expectations. Shawn is clearly very experienced and well versed in dealing with such transactions. The only issue we had was related to a common condition where the windshield on some vehicles seems to sparkle in certain lighting. In my case this looked like it may have been carryover from when the paint sealant was applied or during detailing. Overall, great car, great service…highly recommended. More
