"Great team and service"

I recently got my car worked on at Whitten Brothers, a young girl, Rebekah, helped me out and was incredibly sweet. She helped me greatly and despite her young age was very knowledgeable and passionate about the dealership and her customers. I didn’t have to wait long to get my car worked on and everyone in the shop was friendly and efficient. They have my business for all my car needs!

While traveling in the area I noticed that the Brake Light came on in the Jeep I was driving the next thing I knew was that I had no brakes I returned to the store I was shopping in the gentlemen in there pointed me in the direction of this wonderful dealership. The best part was the service rep that I spoke with Tracy Boone once I explained the problem to her she assured me that they would do everything to get me back on the road as soon as possible. The part was not readily available but Tracy assured us that they would do there best to have are Jeep ready on Friday in the mean time they would give us a rental to drive. I can not with enough word tell you how wonderful all the people we can in contact with were and can not say THANK YOU enough to all the personal that helped us. If you live in this area and are going to purchase a vehicle and service is your top priority recommend this dealership. Thank you Tracy Boone for helping two old women who knew nothing about a vehicle and making us fell safe and secure and that someone cared about them.

"Poor customer service"

Dropped my car off Friday after making an appointment...it sat there all day (Friday) no work got done to it...I'm wondering what's the point of an appointment if you still can't get the work done? I called & left several messages for a specific person & no one ever returns the phone calls..they took my name and number but never called back.....

"Service Dept needs HELP"

Took our van in for service (check engine light) got it back "fixed" in a couple days. Check engine light came back on two days later. Well here we are two weeks later and it still isn't fixed. The service dept doesn't communicate very well the progress or lack of with our repair. Ive called several times and feel like I get the run around. Ive been promised it would be ready on 3 different occasions only to be let down. They should learn to " under promise and over achieve". We are very disappointed and will look for a different Dodge dealer to work with in the future, even if we have to travel further. It would be nice if the management actually came on here and would read the reviews.

"Can't fix anything or stand by their products"

For the second time in as many months we have taken one of our Chrysler Vehicles in for repair, this time however the vehicle came out in worse shape than when we brought it in. We took our 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 Off-Road truck in for a new mirror which had been ordered last month when we were in having recall work done. They then told us the part was ordered by the "VIN #" and was the wrong part and proceeded to tell us that it would be an additional $318 on top of the $300 we were already paying for a MIRROR saying that it was an aftermarket mirror how is it you had to order the OEM part and have an aftermarket mirror in stock that you want to charge us $600+ for to put on. At this point we say no just give us the truck back since we can order the part for $85 and have someone else put it on at a much lower cost. Upon pick up this afternoon of the vehicle they've damaged the door and fix that while waiting for the truck. We take the truck and get a mile down the road and the windows that worked fine at drop off now won't go down. Very disappointed in the service recently and it seems like every time we take a vehicle in they want to charge us extra money on it. I recently had my van serviced also and they wanted to charge me $800+ for brakes & rotors, which I did replace elsewhere for $300. At this point after our family purchasing 5 vehicles through Whitten Brothers in the last 10 years we will be shopping elsewhere.

"I purchased a Nissan Altima on 12/07/12 around 7:30 pm...."

I purchased a Nissan Altima on 12/07/12 around 7:30 pm. Duriing the test drive I was told that I could have my teo front tires replaced as they were clearly worn. Because the the service deptment was closed I was told by my salesman Ray to come back later and the tires would be replaced . I returned a few days later and service manager inquired about my request and examined the car. It suppostely "passed inspection". He did see the need to replace the tires.My uncle then asked the service manger "would he feel comfortable allowing any woman in his family driving on two tires in that condition?" He never answered... Then I was told that if I came back without him that they would be willing to "work with me". I returned on 01/08/13 with mother and left the car for service. I recieved a call on 01/09/13 from Scott stating that he was no longer willing to honor any agreement that he made with me !!! His disgreement was wih my uncle who questioned the quailty of his work. His disagreement was with my uncle NOT ME THE ACTUAL PURCHASER. May I add that I was not wittness to everything that I was said by the two men. All I know is that I DONT APPRECIATE being taken advantage of... I am a young eduated woman. I feel like i am being BLACKBALLED becuase of A TESTOSTERONE FUELED display by a few grown men that simply got out of hand. HOWEVER THEY MAY OF FELT ABOUT EACH AND THEIR MANHOOD OR LACK THEERE OF, HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ME (the purchaser) or the agreement that we had. The gentlemenly thing to do would have been to be aman of his word. Not fall back on promise becasuse of what another man who had no vested inerested the vechice said to them. At point that they felt that the conservation out of hand or when they realized that my uncle was not purchaser HE SHOULD HAVE COME TO ME. ALL I WANT IS THE TIRES I WAS PROMISED !!!

"I purchased a used Jeep Wrangler there in February of..."

I purchased a used Jeep Wrangler there in February of 2010. In November of 2010 I experienced something familiar to Jeep owners called a Death Wabble. I took the vehicle in to be serviced from what I was told was a certified dealer and the service department replaced the stearing dampner with no other recommendations. After about nine months the same issue reoccurred and the same part was replaced again with no other recommendations. In December of 2012 yes the issue started again. I was told to contact Chrysler because there was nothing Whitten Brothers could do to assist financially. After contacting Chrysler I was informed that only 50% would be covered because Whitten Brothers recommended that the shocks be replaced after 80,000 miles. Needless to say, I will never purchase another vehicle from any Whitten Brothers dealers because the service department cant seem to figure out how to repair vehicles until it gets too many miles on it to be covered under the warranty.

"On the day of Hurricane Sandy I noticed that my Tire..."

On the day of Hurricane Sandy I noticed that my Tire Pressure Sensor had come on. The very next morning I was able to get my Jeep into the Service Department and begin working with Joe Allen. In minutes he had found the source of the problem and discovered another one in the process. Both could have been serious. Joe quickly analyzed my warranty coverage and provided a rental vehicle for me. Within 24 hrs the parts were in and the service completed. This is my fifth Jeep from Whitten. There will be a sixth. This is the level of customer service so often missing in business today. Joe Allen and the Whitten Service Department are yet another reason to continue buying Jeeps and buying them from Whitten Bros.

Joe Allen is a great ambassador for Whitten of Ashland. He was able to fit me in on short notice, diagnose the cause of my illuminated engine lamp, order the required part (expensive catalytic converter) and effect the repair in a very reasonable timeframe. Throughout the process Joe kept me informed and schooled on the technical issues, logistics (replacement part to be shipped from Ohio in spite of Hurrican Sandy) and in-house progress by the technician(s). Joe is knowledgeable & courteous. I will return to Whitten for future service needs due to Joe's professionalism. Catalytic Converter cost: Recommend this be reviewed by Jeep/Whitten. It is cheaper via other venues. W. Tuthill
