I reached out to buy a used car from this dealerships Rancho Mirage location, dealing with Chuck. They told me the car was available (someone else was interested), we worked through the details and I wanted to put a payment on it and finalize (it would be a phone purchase). They promised to call back within 10 minutes to get the paperwork ready. Chuck called back and said the car was sold to someone else. So I asked to speak with the manager, Anthony, and after explaining what happened, shortly thereafter they called back, apologized and said the car was mine. Then one hour later they sent me an email saying the car was sold to someone else. Requests to speak to the owner thus far have gone unanswered. There are many wonderful dealerships out there, this isn't one of them.

On 10/5 i towed my car to the service department and made a claim to my insurance to assess damages to
So far so good.
After 10 days estimates came back and I chose to fix the car at another place then they showed their true colors.
First I was charged a diagnostic fee of 2950 (10hours) on the car. Seriously doubt they did 10 hours of inspection but okay I had agreed to this.
Then they charged me 11days of storage at 3250 usd... and and admin fee of 1805...total 8010... At no point those were disclosed to me.
When I towed the car and received they had treated like a vulgar Kia: it was outside the all time, dirty like crazy, no mats were used inside and they put parts in the trunk not caring to damage the leather. Utterly disgusting

He responded to my numerous questions and requests for more information. He provided photos, videos, and other documentation that was requested. When he didn't know the answer he took the time to research and get the information I requested. First class no pressure sales approach. I have been considering buying a Ferrari California for some time and finally everything lined up for me with the icing on the cake being a 2011 model coming into the used inventory at South Bay Ferrari, just down the street from me.
I contacted them and they explained it was being prepped and would be available the following Friday or Saturday and promised to call me back to confirm.
Eddie called me as promised and we arranged for me to test drive the car on Saturday, he noted he would not be available himself but would have his associate look after me. This was already a good experience and it was about to get better.
My wife and I arrived a little early and were warmly welcomed and offered coffee and water while we waited in the lounge. Along came Harmony who took the usual details needed for a test drive then walked us out to the car. She was very genuine and interested in why we were considering the car and was very helpful in explaining were all the controls were. She even hopped in the back seat such as it is and off we went.
I fell in love with it, who wouldn't but again, no fuss, no drama, no pressure. She took my details and proposed payment information and promised that Eddie would call back Monday, then showed us around the top floor and some of the vehicles stored there.
I am not sure if this is typical of Ferrari dealers but I have to say its different from all my other car buying experiences.
Long story short, Eddie turned out to be the GM of South Bay and had sold the car to its original owner, we struck a deal, mostly via email and got all the paperwork done. The car needed some minor additional prep and would likely be ready the following Friday or Saturday.
Much to my delight the car was ready Friday and in we went and Harmony took me through the paperwork while I sipped on an Espresso, then it was on to go over the car which was in the main showroom. Again this surprised me since its a used vehicle but its these extra details that made it really special.
And now I own my first Ferrari, it was the nicest and easiest vehicle purchase ever and I really do feel like I was welcomed into the family by people who are just simply passionate about the brand.
