I wanted a long-lasting, very safe but fun to drive vehicle for my wife. We looked at Lexus RX & LX models but were left unimpressed with the driving experience. We went to Acura looking for a new MDX base (maybe with tech package) to test drive to compare the two manufacturers. There really was no comparison, the Acura was just more fun to drive at the same level of luxury. There is also Acura's SH-AWD system just being outrageously superior to any other AWD (should just call it 4wd the way it works). Then I saw a MDX Type S Advanced and took it for a test drive. WOW!!! This SUV definitely puts you back in your seat, it even has launch control. The interior is roomy and can fit 7 people (kinda tight in 3rd row but do-able) with great sound system & comfy heated/ventilated massage seats in front. I bought the Type S for my wife. The vehicle was found to have some small issues that were immediately repaired under factory warranty by the dealership without hesitation or the normal service upselling. After talking with my service advisor (Todd G.) for a while I could tell he knows how mechanical systems work (I'm an old Gearhead), I trust this person even though I don't really know him. I also understand that a high-performance vehicle takes a little extra care and maintenance, so I'm not surprised when things need extra attention. I will also say that this dealership never tried to pressure me into any decision or product that I didn't want or ask for first. That alone tells me that I can trust the folks here to sell me what I want or need, not what makes them the most money. Thank you, Auto Nation Acura!
