Great Lakes Ford of Ludington made it right! - tlg1941
You should note the change from the earlier rating. I won't go into a long explanation of the miss-communications that led to the earlier rating but everything has been resolved to my satisfaction. Even though the problem appeared minor it is a very expensive repair so it is understandable that the dealership would proceed with caution. Hopefully Ford will appreciate dealers like Great Lakes that once all the facts are clear go the extra mile to keep Ford owners happy.

Purchasing a vehicle out of state is usually a painful process. However, at Dean Arbour Ford of Tawas, things went very smoothly! Everyone I spoke with at Dean Arbour was friendly and helpful. Our sales representative, Casey Sweet, is very knowledgeable about both vehicles and the purchasing process. He was patient, thorough and went out of his way to be helpful. A big thank you to Casey!

I have leased F-150 on June 25, 2020. Since I have been shopping for one F-150, I didn't test-drive the truck. After about 2 weeks later, I learned from youtube about how to open the hood (latch location). When opened the hood, found that the radiator fluid was well below the lower limit and the back heat shield was badly chewed by a rodent or something. I do not have any rat or rodent in my house, called them and texted a pic of the heat shield, the sales rep initially confirmed that sometimes they get cars like that, they will be happy to replace that for me. I was relieved and decided to go there, but they didn't have any opening that week, My work started the following week after a long covid19 break, so I wanted to hold the trip for another couple of weeks, then called again to schedule an appointment. They said I have to pay for the heat shield since if is not under factory warranty. I then explained and sent another pic of the heat shield saying it didn't happen in my possession, I do not have rodents at my house, and the damage remained same even after another couple of weeks. Then spoke with the original sales rep, he said they will not cover the expenses, although he initially said it should be covered.
This will cost me $250 for that heat shield. It is now about three months the damage is still exactly the same as it was after two weeks when I first checked under the hood. When buying a brand new car, why'd anybody check for faults, I don't understand. They asked me to prove that it didn't happen in my possession, how in the world will I do that. If it was used car, I'd totally understand, since I am supposed to check everything before the purchase.
A good dealership should have offered me to take the car from my home, fix it, and return back to me. Instead, they totally declined to repair for free and blamed that it happened at my house. It would have been a small cost for them to keep me as a loyal customer. I felt scammed. Nobody usually opens the hood when buying a brand new truck. Extremely disappointed with this dishonest behavior from this dealership!
I purchased a rather new car at the end of last year from... - Matthew.l.holcomb
I purchased a rather new car at the end of last year from Fox Ford. And having to bring it in for an oil change and recall maintenance has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. They claimed to not have a loaner for me to use while my car was in service. So they directed me to a rental agency which is fine except for having to explain multiple times to the same people how I was not going to have to pay for the rental because Fox Ford didn’t have a loaner available. And then the confusion of the whole process has been ridiculous. I’ve had to call the rental agency and Fox Ford multiple time to ensure that I don’t get charged for the rental. I feel with the amount of money I paid for this vehicle and it being a recall maintenance issue the dealership should have taken care of the whole mess. Not to mention whenever I walked in the building I got just a terrible vibe from everyone working there. Almost like they thought “we already got your money for the car so I could care less about how we service you”. Pretty bad for such a big corporation.
I have yet to have a good service experience - Marquette Local
I purchased a car brand new from Fox and the purchasing experience was fantastic, that is where the good experience ended. Within the first 200 miles my brand new car had two solenoid issues back to back. Both times they didn't offer me a loaner car despite taking 3+ days to get my brand new car fixed, the second time I asked for a loaner car and the service adviser just shrugged and told me he didn't have any loaners available. Luckily I had family who knew someone in management who they complained to and he managed to find me something to drive even though it was a fresh trade-in that hadn't even been cleaned yet.
Next came multiple regular service appointments as I had purchased a service contract along with the car. Every single time I had regular service I set an appointment ahead of time for early to mid morning and dropped my car off first thing when they opened. Every single time I went back mid to late afternoon and they told me they hadn't had a chance to work on it and were just starting, this of course meant I spent 45+ minutes in the waiting room despite the fact that my car was supposed to be worked on hours before I even arrived.
All of this could be written off as them just being far too busy with bad time management but my last experience was the one that sealed the deal. At around 20,000 miles my car ended up needing the rear brake pads and rotors replaced. This is a known issue with Subarus manufactured around the time of mine as the brakes would regularly get stuck and wear down the rotors prematurely. They tried to charge me full price to replace the pads and rotors. I had to talk with the service adviser multiple times on the phone before they eventually "found" a Subaru service program for this known issue where the entire repair could be performed for a $100 deductible. How does a licensed Service center not know about this common issue and the replacement program offered by Subaru?
With Fox being the only licensed Subaru service center in the area I honestly will never buy another Subaru. I don't feel any faith in the brand when I can't get it reliably serviced.

sales dept desperatelylacking. Parts and service were great - Wifeloves2shop
Poorly treated by two different new car salesmen on 2 separate occasions. The salesman today had little to no interest in helping me. I walked in with the intention of buying and paying cash for a new Volvo. I could tell right away that he has no desire to help me. Very condescending.
In past when visiting the service department, I'm treated wonderfully. The parts department was especially helpful. It's because of parts and service that I will refrain from leaving only 1 star. Also Naz has always been very nice and helpful.
Great staff 👍 - Jayne
Went in for parts. Not only did the manager help me but he was very kind. I've sent friends there and they thanked me😊 Service Dept was also just as helpful and knowledgeable.
Great service when passing through town - e_man262
I was vacationing in the area when my rear window was broken by stones from another vehicle. I called to see if a replacement window might be available while I was in town. It was not. Rick Bartels was very accommodating and professional. He had the service/body shop wrap my window with a temporary film to get me to where I was going. Great job by all there. The wrap was done so that it stood up to a couple thunderstorms without leaking and there is no noise on the interstate while driving. I would highly recommend.
