Poorly treated by two different new car salesmen on 2 separate occasions. The salesman today had little to no interest in helping me. I walked in with the intention of buying and paying cash for a new Volvo. I could tell right away that he has no desire to help me. Very condescending.
In past when visiting the service department, I'm treated wonderfully. The parts department was especially helpful. It's because of parts and service that I will refrain from leaving only 1 star. Also Naz has always been very nice and helpful.

I do not normally post things like this, but I am left with no choice. I was so excited to purchase a new-to-me vehicle. I went to Imlay City Ford because I thought they were a reputable dealer. I instantly fell in love with a 2013 Ford Edge. It was a newer car and didn’t even have 45,000 miles on it. Sounds like a great deal, right? WRONG! This car has been a complete NIGHTMARE. I noticed there was issues with it within owning it for not even a full week. I will have over $1,000 in repairs done for the car before I even make my first car payment. Not only that, my mechanic has let me know that the entire underneath of my car is rusted! For being only 5 years old and low mileage, it should not be rusted. Nor should the dealership feel good about themselves at selling me the car at a price of “mint” condition. I have called the dealership and expressed my anger and disappointment in the products they pride themselves in selling, and they simply have said, “well, had you brought it back to us to look at it, we could have worked out a deal, but since you didn’t, there is nothing we can do for you”. From being excited to have a new-to-me vehicle, this has been the WORST experience. It is an absolute shame that this is even acceptable, and even more of shame that the men I have spoken to pride themselves in this type of service. I will NEVER give them my business ever again. I am putting this out here for anyone that is looking to buy a new or used car. Save yourself the hassle, and do not even consider dealing with the salesmen at Imlay City Ford.

Bought a defective 2017 Raptor. 100 miles from home. Nightmare. Dealer replaced tranny. Still shuttered. He bought back for $8000 loss two months later. Ford walked away from deal. Dealer bought back when prodded but huge loss. Shame on Ford and this dealer, Bill Van.
This was my second Raptor and I loved my first. Should have kept it. Run from from any deal here unless you no other choice.

You should note the change from the earlier rating. I won't go into a long explanation of the miss-communications that led to the earlier rating but everything has been resolved to my satisfaction. Even though the problem appeared minor it is a very expensive repair so it is understandable that the dealership would proceed with caution. Hopefully Ford will appreciate dealers like Great Lakes that once all the facts are clear go the extra mile to keep Ford owners happy.

In October of 2011 I purchased a Lincoln MKX off the used lot at Pfeiffer. I got a great price and the experience was wonderful. It took all of an hour to go in, buy the vehicle which included finance and a trade in. I purchased the MKX for 3K less than anywhere else advertised in town and way less than bluebook retail, out the door. I have also since serviced my Lincoln at Pfeiffer. There service department is phenomenal. They are quick, friendly, courteous, and thorough. I have since had my wife start taking her car their. I highly recommend this dealer for both car buying and service.
