I would not recommend Kia of Laurel based on my experience.
I began the process of purchasing a vehicle on July 9 and returned on July 10 to complete everything, as instructed by our salesman. After spending hours at the dealership, I signed the contract and was told everything was finalized.
The next day, however, I started receiving calls from the salesman saying he needed “just one more piece of paperwork” to complete the deal. Throughout the process, I repeatedly heard statements like, “You’re good, I promise you’re good,” and “You guys are good.” Despite those assurances, the dealership later presented an alternate financing offer with a much higher interest rate after we had already signed the original contract.
Communication was extremely frustrating. There were multiple times I couldn’t even get the salesman to answer or return my calls. After getting the runaround, I informed him that I would be returning the vehicle and picking up my trade-in. At that point, communication became even worse, and I received little to no response.
When I arrived at the dealership to return the vehicle and retrieve my trade-in and keys, I waited for over an hour before anyone assisted me.
The most concerning part of this experience is that after getting my original vehicle back, I discovered that two accidents are now showing on the Carfax report that were not there before I brought my vehicle to Kia of Laurel. This has left me with serious questions and concerns about what happened while my vehicle was in the dealership’s possession.
Overall, this experience was stressful, time-consuming, and extremely disappointing. I expected transparency, honesty, and better communication throughout the process, but unfortunately, that was not my experience.
