They say that there is no such thing as a coincidence. So it surely cannot be one that the Subaru dealer who I have referred quite a few friends (including one a few months ago; my review below is from that experience) too—yes, Patriot Subaru—is the same dealership (owner) who is about to open Maine’s first Acura dealership, in Scarborough. So imagine my excitement that I happen to purchase an Acura automobile while traveling in the tri-state of NY/NJ/CT and will have it serviced in Maine. By….the best in the business. Extremely Disappointed - Stay Away We bought a brand new 2025 Subaru with 0 miles on it. Less than 11 months later, we brought it in for its first inspection and were told we already needed new tires. That alone was shocking. But then they quoted us almost double what every other shop charges. When we asked how that’s even possible on a new vehicle, they didn’t offer any real explanation—just asked for proof of tire rotations and moved on. We expected better from a certified dealership. Instead, we felt pressured, dismissed, and upcharged. We’ll never use them again, and we strongly suggest you stay far away too.

I needed a vehicle. Found the one I wanted. Despite the dealership trying to claim they’re different from the rest. The bottom line is they wanted a paycheck. They even joked in front of me about, “Needing to go buy a new vacuums” for all the cash that they were making off of me. Bottom line is that if their mouths are moving, they’re lying. They don’t act like they care about anything but making the maximum amount of money as quick and fast as possible. Yes I understand I could have walked away and I probably should have. But I can’t blame Subaru for the dealerships behaviors. First thing I did was remove any identification from my vehicle as to where I purchased it. Thank you Subaru for the amazing car. It’s not your fault.

Avoid this dealership and service department. They will sell you an absolute lemon, with a slick smile, and expect you to be happy with it. The absolute bottom of the barrel beings populate this place. Shop for, purchase, and service your vehicle elsewhere. You'll be glad you did.
