From the beginning, my experience was difficult. - Frank G
From the beginning, my experience was difficult. My service advisor, Michael Tatum, was dismissive of my concerns and gave me a hard time when I initially brought my vehicle in. I repeatedly reported abnormal suspension noises, but I was told multiple times that the sounds were “normal,” and there was reluctance to properly address the issue.
Eventually, repairs were approved under my warranty, and I was informed that multiple components including the front and rear struts, control arms, and a motor mount had been replaced.
However, after continuing to experience the same issues, I took my vehicle to another Kia dealership for a second opinion. At Kia of DTLA, a third diagnostic confirmed that the parts that were supposedly replaced did not appear to have been changed.
At that point, I returned to Kia of Cerritos and spoke personally with Eli the service manager. After reviewing my concerns, he arranged for my vehicle to be towed back to the dealership for further investigation.
Due to the inconsistency between what was billed under warranty and what was actually performed, this situation raises very serious concerns about the integrity of the work completed.
I have already reported this matter to Kia America corporate as well as the California Bureau of Automotive Repair for further investigation.
If this happened to me, it is highly likely that other customers may be experiencing similar issues, and I believe this warrants a thorough internal review of service practices at this location.
