Bad buying experience, great price First of all, they will lowball you on your trade-in. Most dealerhips do. They told me that they use Kelley blue book as a guideline. So, I came in prepared to get an offer at the low end or a bit under KBB's range. Their offer? 25% below the minimum of KBB's range. But, I was getting a great price on the purchase, so I went with it. The second part just leaves me speechless. I made it clear upfront that I wanted to pay for the car with 2 checks. The first, a personal check, to pay down the principal (approximately $8k). The second, a "lender check" from my bank, for the balance. During the completion of the agreement. The salesperson asked for the "lender check". I gave it to him and he took it to the finance office. After a short wait, the time came to move things into the finance office to finish the deal. Much to my surprise, the finance manager had filled out the "lender check" for the entire purchase amount! So, instead of financing $15k through my lender, I will now be financing $23k. The finance manager had no idea that I wanted to pay with 2 checks. Plus, to top things off, he informed me that they do not accept personal checks over $2k. Obviously, I was upset. I think I handled it pretty well, but I probably took things out on some undeserving people. Anyway, I completed the purchase because of the price. A price, by the way, that had more to do with Kia's $4k rebate more than anything the dealership did. Once the transaction was completed, I spoke to the sales manager in the hope that they could learn from this experience. They may have lost a chance at a repeat customer with me, but hopefully a future customer's experience will be better. More

Also Aaron Hill will work with you until you are satisfied with the deal. He also was the person we worked with the first time we leased our KIA. He also was very thoughtful and very fun to work with. He really knows his job inside & out!! This was our first time working with Garrett Prewett he was very knowledgeable and polite. We have been married for 31 years and had never purchased a new car, always used. Everyone was friendly, professional,helpful and took the time to properly show all features and benefits of a KIA and took t a new car, always used. John Badger was the only good thing about Paramount Kia, seems like a solid guy. Pleasant, direct, no nonsense. Looking for a new Kia, contacted Aaron at Paramount, (also worked with Buckey and Garret). I spoke over the phone a few times ( a few hours drive from our home. I walked in, pulled the car we had been discussing, started the paperwork. No upselling, no BS, we were in and out in just a little over an hour. They were direct and had the best price we were able to find in a 500-mile radius of our home. I would definitely drive down there and buy another vehicle. Bucky was awesome, again no BS, (well maybe a little about liking the color of the car, Army Man Green), but seriously, he was steller, my wife HATES, I mean truly hates dealing with car dealers. They have an unfortunate habit of treating her (and I suspect woman in general as secondary) and she was very pleased with how he spoke with, and treated her. When we explained this was her car, I was merely eye candy (as it were, 3 week old, covered in fuzz, under the couch eye candy).from that point on. Jordan was wonderful as well (Finance Guy), again no BS, did not try to sell us on things we did not need. Got right down to business, and we were in and out of the finance office in minutes versus hours. Really he got up to take care of something or other, and we sat there, he smiled and said "we're done, let's get your car." Aaron was amazingly patient with my imitation of Columbo, ask a question, hang up, call back ah yeah forgot.. repeat too often. Kudos, and still smiled and shook my hand when I can in a few days after the initial (and many, many calls. He even called me a couple of times to let me know they worked out a better deal, a car more suited to my request, for less money, (Yeah surprise!) financing, etc. I was very impressed. Also spoke with Jodi (sorry we missed you, would have loved to have met you in person.), Pleasant, informative, called to offer assistance, etc. Highly recommend these folks. Thank you for sorta restoring my faith in humanity. PS: And as a first the car had a full tank of gas. Crazy Awesome. More
