Although the initial trade-in offer I received for my 2010 ES 350 was ridiculous, we ultimately agreed on a reasonable value. Manuel Gomez, the sales rep, was a pleasure to work with. BUYER BEWARE:Lexus offers too many options and in my BUYER BEWARE: Lexus offers too many options and in my experience the dealership doesn’t provide that information in a clear manner. It is an overw BUYER BEWARE: Lexus offers too many options and in my experience the dealership doesn’t provide that information in a clear manner. It is an overwhelming feeling when you discuss options and drive a couple of different cars that don’t have the options you want. It is very difficult to keep track of what you saw in what car and try to make an informed choice. Sales person instead of clearly explaining the options is more focused on making a sale. After the purchase, on your drive home you find out that the option that you wanted the most is not included in the car. I wanted ventilated/heated seats in my car but found out it was not part of the final selected car even though I had mentioned that was the only option I was willing to pay for. On the options sheet, it was highlighted by the sales person but was not included in the car that was actually purchased. A good sales person should pay attention to what you want and alert the buyer if that option is not available in the car that is going to be brought to the dealership. The car I wanted was not in their inventory and had to be ordered. Lesson learned is be extra vigilant, take the time to go through all options before the final purchase. Sales/dealership is only looking to make a sale. More
