Thank you for your feedback. We did speak by phone and, as promised, I wanted to follow up here as well. I’d like to clarify that the front and rear differential fluid service is not part of Subaru’s factory-recommended 42,000-mile maintenance schedule, which is what our advertised service is based on. The $139.99 service includes the oil change and tire rotation, while differential services are separate due to the additional time and labor involved. We did our best to assist and explain this both prior to and during your visit. I understand that this was not the outcome you were expecting, but it was not something we could include at that price. That said, we take your feedback seriously. We have already reviewed how this service is presented online and how it is communicated during scheduling to ensure there is no confusion moving forward. Our goal is always to be transparent and professional, and we regret that your experience did not reflect that.

Mr. Ardito - We did have a conversation and long discussed this matter and our attempts to satisfy you. We also indicated that the words on the Subaru scheduler - not ours - said the service was "Start At" the dollar amount and not that specific dollar amount. While we appreciate your inference that you wanted to become a loyal customer - you have never done business with us before and only called us as you indicated you had troubling experienceses elswhere. As you were a new customer, we immediately made a concession to see if we could assist you - even though the coupon is direct and upfront. That concession was not sufficient enough for you - and, you clearly made threats accordingly. As such, we decided that we should not pursue a relationship with you. For 26 years, we have made thing right for a customer - but, we will not be beholden to threats in order to provide you what you desire. Mr Alvine fails to mention that denies this service is offered despite it being listed on the website and me sending him screen shots of it. He also fails to mention that while he offered to pay for the oil change and one differential gear oil change if I paid for one of the differential dear oil change HE WANTED TO CHARGE ME $279.99 FOR THE DIFFERENTIAL GEAR OIL CHANGE. This service costs $119.00 at two other Subaru Dealers in Connecticut...I called them to confirm. SO, MR. ALVINES "SHOW OF GOOD FAITH" WAS ACTUALLY A SLEAZY ATTEMPT AT TRICKING ME TO PAY MORE FOR THE SERVICE THAN I WAS QUOTED BY HIS EMPLOYEE. I WILL UPLOAD OUR EMAILS TO SHOW THIS AS WELL. INSTEAD OF DOING THE RIGHT THING BOB ALVINE DID THE SLEAZY THING AND LOST A REPEAT CUSTOMER FOREVER.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We would like to clarify the timeline and findings related to your TPMS repairs. In October, we replaced the left front TPMS sensor battery. In March 2025, we replaced the left rear TPMS sensor. At that March visit, our diagnostic scan showed low voltage history codes present for all four sensors. This was documented on the invoice at that time, and we recommended replacement of all four sensors due to their age and low voltage readings. You elected to replace only the one failed sensor. When you returned recently stating the left front sensor should be covered under warranty, we performed a full diagnostic inspection. Our scan tool again showed history low-voltage codes on all four wheels. You had also recently had tires installed at another facility. We cleared the warning light, test drove the vehicle until the light returned, and then removed the left front wheel for inspection. At that time, we found the left front sensor reading low voltage and also found it loose and attached to an aftermarket valve stem that had been installed by the tire shop. Because the sensor was no longer mounted to the original Subaru valve stem assembly and had been altered during the tire installation, this condition falls outside of warranty coverage guidelines. Our dealership is fully transparent, and we did review and show you the issues we found during our inspection. While we did not charge you for the time spent diagnosing this matter, we do encourage you to return to the facility that installed your tires so they can address and correct the issues caused during that service.
