I just wanted to take the time to write another review about this amazing dealership. I ran into a very slight issue with my purchase and was worried about how my situation would be received and handled. about this amazing dealership. I ran into a very slight issue with my purchase and was worried about how my situation would be received and handled. I am honestly blown away at how Ernesto, Henry, Charles, and Rami all took great care of me. I was treated with such patience and professionalism. I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner himself. He has an incredible staff and I will always recommend Garavel to all my family and friends! Thank you again for a wonderful experience!! More

Don't buy the 2017 Jeep Big Bear Edition If I could rate 0 stars I would. From incompetent salespeople to the ignorant, chauvinistic manager, this dealership is a disaster. Whoever gets st If I could rate 0 stars I would. From incompetent salespeople to the ignorant, chauvinistic manager, this dealership is a disaster. Whoever gets stuck buying the 2017 Jeep Wrangler Big Bear Edition that they currently have, I’m hoping they see the hack paint job the dealership had done. So how do I come to 0 stars? Lets start from the beginning… Monday- we called and asked if this said jeep was available and on the lot. Manager checked and said “yes, would you like to see it?” Yes! Absolutely, we’ll be down there in 2 hours. We drive over an hour to get there, waited for someone to help us. Along comes Jorge. He goes to tell us the Jeep is in service and we cannot see it. After explaining how far we had drove to see this Jeep and that we have a 3 month old that we had to find childcare for, he went to check with the manager. We then had permission to see the Jeep in the garage. Garage was dimly lit, hood was up and parts were everywhere but we were thankful to at least get a small picture of what we drove down there for. Jorge was ready to talk numbers, however, there is no way we could sign anything without throughly seeing the car. We agreed to come back a different day so we could see it in detail and test drive it. Jorge was off on Wednesday but that was the only day we were available. He agreed come in on his day off, which we were very appreciative, but obviously he wanted the commission. We was also asked him to find out what was done on the vehicle in service for Wednesday. Wednesday- we drove down to see the Jeep. Jorge walks over while we are looking at the Jeep- Guess what? He never found out what was done in service. We asked him again to please find out. We inspect the Jeep and there are 3 separate chipped paint spots on the hood that were rusted and started spreading under the paint. We explained to Jorge this needed to be fixed, he agreed but also got defensive saying “Well I told you it had chips last time but you didn’t listen.” Definitely did not hear about said chips. We then asked him how to open the soft top, back window and he didn’t know. We asked him to find out. We took the Jeep for a 25 min test drive while Jorge stayed behind. We came back and he wanted to talk numbers. We asked again, what was done in service? and he said he never asked and clearly still did not know how to open the back window. We then went inside to find out the information that we had asked for twice. He presented a sheet of information from service but clearly did not know what he was talking about. He then admitted he had only been there a few months. We discussed that we would not sign anything unless the chips were fixed and we wanted to make sure it would be done correctly. Considering that a small patch job would lead to future chipping, the entire hood needed to be redone. He assured us the entire hood would be done. I also offered that because my bother had worked at an auto body repair shop, I would be willing to sign for the Jeep if they took money off so I could get it fixed correctly. Jorge scoffed at us and said don't worry, we use professionals. We then told them that if it would save them money and considering they would be doing it correctly by doing the entire hood, they wouldn’t have to replace the hood decal (which would need to come off to repaint the hood). Jorge assured us multiple times the entire hood would be done and the decal would come off. Thursday morning- I called Jorge and left a message making sure the hood would be done correctly like we had discussed and they could leave the decal off. I asked him to keep in touch, please call or email me back. Never heard back. Thursday night- my husband called the dealership and spoke with someone else. They had no idea what was going on but thought it was in the shop. Monday- I get a text on my phone- “Jeep is back”. I didn’t even get a phone call explaining what was done, when can you come look at it, nothing. Completely fed up with Jorge’s incompetence and clear lacking of any knowledge, I called the dealership and spoke with the customer service manager Andy (who was very helpful and sent us pictures of the hood and was very upset about the lack of communication and cooperation from Jorge and said there were more senior staff available Wednesday that would be able to help us) and a sales manager Ernesto (also was told of the situation and told me he would be there on Wednesday when we went to see the car again). Wednesday- our third, hour long trip. This time we brought my brother, who worked in an auto body shop and had much experience in body repair work and painting. We inspect the Jeep and the decal was still on and clearly the hood was not redone. You could see where the white paint smudged onto the decal, you could see the clear coat was buffed out to the wrangler decal and left a palpable ridge. Further more, the chip by the passenger side fender was not completely covered and there was white overspray on the black fender. The job was done extremely sloppy and if we were to take the decal off now like we originally wanted, the entire hood would need to be redone because of the thick ridges they left. Joe, a new salesperson comes to greet us. I sincerely felt bad for Joe- he had no idea the xxxx we had been through with Jorge and he had no idea the paint job on the Jeep had been done so poorly, Blindsided and shocked, he went to get his manager. Ernesto, who knew our situation with Jorge and said he would be with us Wednesday, was not there. In comes Charles, the chauvinistic, ignorant and equally unknowledgeable manager. He walked out immediately throwing his arms up and saying he didn’t understand- he looked at the paint job himself and it was perfect! No introductions, no pleasantries- just defensive and rude. I then explained to him the promises of Jorge and the lacking paint job that was presented. My brother then went into detail showing him the issues and told him that he's never seen such a hack job. The manager kept saying that it really was perfect and if he had known we wanted the decal off, it could have been taken off. Throughout this conversation of trying to emanate what had happened with Jorge and what he had promised, he repeatedly cut me off to speak over me and clearly wasn’t listening. I repeatedly told him we had expressed we wanted the decal off, we were assured the entire hood would be painted and I even called back the next day to make sure it would be done correctly. I also told the manager I offered to do it myself if they would shave some money off. The manager in a condescending tone asked “what would make you happy?“ I told him that my brother estimated $1200-$1500 to fix the paint job and do it correctly. The manager laughed saying “that was ridiculous and how did I come to that conclusion”. My brother then explained that because they messed up the paint job so badly, all the hardware and decals had to come off, the hood would have to be sanded down to even out the hard ridges they created, etc, etc. If they had done it the right way, it would only have cost about $900. The manager looked shocked at his knowledge then finally admitted that “this was a $450 paint job and its good enough for a used car. If this were a new car, the dealership would have gotten a better paint job done.” This is what pissed us off the most. He finally admitted to a cheap, crappy paint job. He then said he could only give me $500 off the car. I then was trying to explain maybe they could give me a little more money for my trade in but he laughed, cut me off yet again and and went back to his original statement of “this paint job was perfect.” This is where I got mad- Again, I pointed out the chip that wasn’t fixed correctly and was visible, the overspray and all the other things we had just gone over in complete detail. My family interjected and told me it wasn’t worth getting upset. Honestly, it really wasn’t worth arguing with someone so delusional and condescending. My family drove six hours round trip and wasted three afternoons on a dealership who wants to sell crappy work and then further employ incompetent, arrogant managers and unknowledgeable, lazy salespeople. If I were the owner of that dealership I would be embarrassed at the lack of professionalism and respect for the customer and mortified by the quality of Jeeps that are being sold. Like I said before- I feel bad for whoever buys that Jeep- it will rust and chip again very soon and when the decal wears off- the hood will look like absolute xxxx. I just hope whoever looks at this Jeep is knowledgeable and doesn’t fall for the yuppy, deceptive manager trying to make a sale. More
