I grew up in the Seattle area and moved to Texas in 1996. Have been married 17 years to my beautiful wife, Ellina, have three great kids and three wonderful grand kids. I enjoy working on my home, always remodeling something, have fun water skiing and love spending time going on long walks with my wife. I started in this industry in 2002 after 23 years with Boeing. When I started I wanted to really make a difference in the perception people have about this business. I have found that there are really a lot of very good people in this business, but the overall public perception still hasn't changed much. I know that I can help change that perception one customer at a time. I have worked for a few automotive organizations in the last 18 years and started my career with the Sam Pack Auto Group a little over three and a half years ago when I helped open Five Star Subaru in Grapevine. Top tier level of service that can be expected! James went above and beyond to not only get us the vehicle we were looking for, but to introduce us to the Five Star Family. This is the place where "BUYER BEWARE" is the greatest asset you have when purchasing a used vehicle! Front line sales personnel are great, but the sales management and used car prep and service managemen asset you have when purchasing a used vehicle! Front line sales personnel are great, but the sales management and used car prep and service management are not trustworthy. IF they promise to fix an issue prior to delivery, they attempt to Southern Engineer the repair, take weeks to complete it, or just do not do it at all, replying, "I just said I'd see what it costs", which is an outright lie! They CLEAR trouble codes so they do not show up again for 50-100 miles, which is normally after test driving and purchase. This constitutes DECEPTIVE TRADE PRACTICES!!!! After paying a Premium Price for a vehicle, which I had little issue with because it was a present for my wife, I had to wait 3 1/2 weeks to get delivery because the management did not want to pay for replacing parts that made the vehicle dangerous. Then a few days later the trouble codes started 'magically' popping up. I took it to the manufactures dealership and it cost me close to $6,000 more dollars to have all the issues fixed or replaced. DO NOT BUY A USED CAR HERE!!!! You may not live to regret it!!!! More

5 star was awesome. From my initial contact with the receptionist, to the saleswoman I sought out from reviews (Rio Manalo) to the sales Manager to the finance guy. I really appreciAted the non aggressive nature from the staff in terms of selling, it was unlike any car purchasing experience I’ve had with a car. I am a first time Subaru owner and so far I’m not only impressed but if they continue to deliver I will be a repeat customer in several years. Thanks Rio and staff at 5 star. More
