April 2023: Rivard advertised just shy 50 HD 2500/3500
trucks at well below MSRP. I called and spoke with a salesman, Dave Hurley, regarding two of the 2500HDs in the advertisement. Everything was good
trucks at well below MSRP. I called and spoke with a salesman, Dave Hurley, regarding two of the 2500HDs in the advertisement. Everything was good until I asked for a confirmation the trucks met the California Emissions Compliance requirements as the truck was going to be registered in CA. He didn't know what I talking about. I advised he could just take a picture of the sticker under the hood showing they meet the CA emissions standards. He later text me, "unfortunately they are both spoken for as is 85% of our HDs are (all 50)." He also sated none of the trucks were on the lot to look under the hood.
I left messages for a second salesman, Ben Pugliesi, and later a message for the sales manager, Eric Judd, with no return calls.
I would say it definitely appears to be a "Bait & Switch." Be aware...

All GM vehicles pass federal emissions standards. We are not familiar with CA emissions standards as we are located in Tampa FL. As the only dealer giving big discounts on HDs almost all of our allocation is spoken for before it hits the ground. If you would like to order a unit, the same discounts you see online would be applicable to your specific order. We are the largest dealer in the SE and 2-time dealer of the year unfortunately that leaves us with more customers than vehicles. IF you are patient we can get you what you want at the advertised priced.
