I have bought several vehicles from them and each time has been an enjoyable experience. The dealership is an hour and half away but worth every mile of the drive. On this most recent purchase, Mr Denny Gates took a personal interest and asked what I was looking for. I told him and less than 24 hours later he had what I was looking for and it was priced well under budget. From there, Mr Eric Gates finished the transaction in less than 48 hours and even met me after hours with my paperwork. Once again, a home run for Gates Group. More

Feel like I'm being misled when dealing with dealership When my wife and I purchased our expedition at Columbia ford we paid for upgrades, warranties, etc. which caused the truck to get taxed at a higher st When my wife and I purchased our expedition at Columbia ford we paid for upgrades, warranties, etc. which caused the truck to get taxed at a higher state percentage then the norm, so the purchase was not a small one. Upon receipt of our upgrades to truck (not Ford parts, items sold at Walmart) I had to write the dealership and complain about the bait and switch tactic done which ultimately resulted in the Ford parts being installed in a brand new vehicle vs. aftermarket Walmart quality parts. Today, 12/12/15, after calling months ago (about 15k miles on truck) to discuss what I felt was a problem with the truck, I brought the truck in for tires and alignment. I had expressed my concern that the tires were wearing very unevenly and my doubt to a major alignment problem as there were no signs of it. I had called several tire places, including my hometown Ford dealer, and decided since the truck was purchased at Columbia Ford that if there was a problem its best to have the tires / alignment check done there (even though it was more expensive). The appointment was made for 12:30 with a 2 hour time to complete provided to me when scheduling visit. I took time off from work (unpaid) and brought the truck in. Rather than sitting for 2 hours my wife and I went to lunch and returned 2 hours later. When we saw the truck I was amazed that it hadn't even been touched and was in the same parking spot we left it. I visited the service desk and spoke to the person that scheduled our appointment on the phone. What I was told left me speechless when they stated they were unaware it was here. As I had taken time off from work (unpaid) and I had an appointment an hour away which required me to leave Columbia by 4 PM I was rather mad as the service folks attempted to state it was my fault they didn't know it was there. How anyone that had my keys could say that is mind boggling. They stated they would start it soon and I would be able to leave by 4 PM, at this point much less than the estimate I was originally given. I stated ok but expressed again that I was very concerned about the alignment and / or what may have caused the tires to go bald from middle to the outer side of the tires. When I was told it was done, in a little over an hour, after discussing payment, I asked the obvious question of the day about the alignment since nothing was said. I was told everything was fine. I looked through the receipt and saw no report for the alignment statistics (pre and post). It was for this one reason I brought the truck to Columbia ford (recall my earlier statement). I was told everything was ok and when I explained again why I brought the truck to Columbia I was told that the printer for the alignments had just broken. When I asked what the settings were the service advisor said they had been deleted. When I asked to speak with the service tech that performed the work they stated they were too busy. No offense, I don't believe anything I've been told and I am told to "trust" Columbia Ford. The ONLY other time I was told that I was blatantly lied to and had to point out how a bait and switch tactic that I paid handsomely for was performed. I honestly feel that the dealership is covering up something that will result in further premature tire wear costing me more money then I should be spending with such a young vehicle with so few miles. In my mind I have two options. First, take it to another place of business and have a full 4 wheel alignment be performed ensuring they know why I'm there. Second, have Columbia Ford perform another 4 wheel alignment, free of charge, and provide me the paperwork / report that I made blatantly clear was the reason it was at the dealership today. If I don't hear from Columbia Ford by the End of Day, December 29th, a week away, I will pursue option 1 above and then submit my bill to the dealership for reimbursement. I will also be reaching out to the better business bureau on 30th to submit a full report of the initial non-ford parts being installed in a new truck and this recent "trust me" experience where I feel like I was being lied to my face. I don't write reviews like this ever, oddly enough the only two I can recall are both revolving around dealings with Columbia Ford. Thank you, I'm sure you have record who had a 12:30 PM appointment for 4 new Continental tires with 4 wheel alignment. More

A Ford dealership that cares! I've been looking at vehicles for the last 2 years and coming to Columbia Ford has been the first positive experience in some time. I was referred to I've been looking at vehicles for the last 2 years and coming to Columbia Ford has been the first positive experience in some time. I was referred to Columbia Ford by a good friend. I came into the showroom thinking I'm going to have another bad experience and that didn't happen. Once I talked to Chris L., John S. and Denny - I thought to myself - finally, someone's listening and cares. I'm a shopper that knows what I want and I have little tolerance for 'sales pitch' talk. These guys were great - sincere and understood what my requirements were. They were committed to my needs and turned this to an exceptional experience. Great guys to work with - much thanks to John, Chris, Chris M, and Denny! Bill L. More
