They have a great selection of inventory, which made it easy to find exactly what I was looking for. I worked with Suburban Toyota of Farmington Hills and salesperson Donny on a vehicle that was still in transit. I placed a $500 deposit as a good‑faith hold, with no buyer’s order, no non‑refundable agre salesperson Donny on a vehicle that was still in transit. I placed a $500 deposit as a good‑faith hold, with no buyer’s order, no non‑refundable agreement, and no paperwork tying the deposit to a specific VIN. When I decided not to move forward with the purchase, I made multiple attempts to obtain a refund directly from Donny. Despite several messages, I received no meaningful follow‑through and no progress toward resolving the issue. I was eventually forced to contact the General Manager directly, but my email received no acknowledgement or response. Instead of management addressing the situation, I received scattered texts and emails from other sales personnel who said they would “make sure my concerns got to the right people.” None of them followed through, and no one at the dealership took ownership of the issue. With no resolution after repeated attempts, I was ultimately forced to dispute the charge with my credit card company to get my own money back. The dispute was immediately credited in my favor, which speaks to the lack of documentation supporting the dealership’s refusal to refund a simple, refundable deposit. This experience showed a clear pattern of poor communication, misleading information, and a complete lack of accountability from both the salesperson and dealership leadership. I expected far better from a Toyota dealership. More
