Made it easy. Didn't feel like I had to do all the work like some places. It seemed like the salesman wanted to close the deal without being pushy. Didn't feel like I had to do all the work like some places. It seemed like the salesman wanted to close the deal without being pushy. More

The vehicle started making a loud groan noise and the steering wheel started shaking. I made a appointment the next day and when it was time to bring the vehicle in for them to look at it they told me I had to pay for diag and part and labor to repair it. Very disappointed with the service department. More

All went well. Doug kept me informed as to what was wrong with my car and when it would be completed. They actually got the car finished sooner than they thought. Terrible experience I spoke with the service department about my vehicle having some motor issues. I asked if the vehicle was under any kind of warranty. Mandy the person I spoke with the service department about my vehicle having some motor issues. I asked if the vehicle was under any kind of warranty. Mandy the person I spoke to asked me what kind of issues the car was having and for my vin number so she could check on warranties. She informed me that if it was an internal issue with the motor that it would be covered. I made an appointment to have a diagnostics performed. A few days later the service manager Bill calls and informs me that there is no warranty on the vehicle. (I would’ve never had the car towed to their dealership had I known this). So I call the service department to CANCEL the diagnostic check. The person I spoke with understood what I was wanting to do and I repeatedly told her I DO NOT want this done, and I will have the vehicle towed within a few days. A few days go by and the service manager Bill calls me to inform me that they are finished with the diagnostic check that I canceled...... I told bill that I canceled that appointment and don’t feel that I’m responsible for paying for it. He very rudely tells me that I didn’t cancel the appointment and that I should have asked for him personally to cancel the appointment. So he tells me that if I can’t remember who I talked to that there is nothing he can do about it. He said he would look through their call logs to see if I made a call to cancel it. A few more days go by and I hadn’t heard from Bill so I send a tow truck to pick up my vehicle. Bill refuses to release the vehicle without payment. The tow truck company informs me of this so I call and speak to Bill. He tells me that he looked through the call logs and couldn’t find where I made the call ( I have the call in my call logs) so obviously he never checked. Then very rudely tells me that the lady I spoke to about canceling the appointment “is very good about writing things down and leaving notes” so I must be lying about this. So I asked to speak with someone else about this. He refused to let me speak with anyone else and stated that I “had reached the big guy, no ones over me, everything goes through me”. So at this point I felt it easier to give the big guy his $155.00 then to continue to argue seeing that I needed my vehicle. So overall it was a terrible experience all around from being misinformed about warranties, not having my appointment canceled, to Bill calling me at 8pm to tell me I need to remember who I talked to or I’m stuck with the bill. But Jim Butler Chevrolet made $155.00 so I guess it’s worth it to them. More
