No Reason To Go Elsewhere I bought my GTI from Colonial and have been taking it to them for service ever since. Dealerships are almost always a little more expensive than in I bought my GTI from Colonial and have been taking it to them for service ever since. Dealerships are almost always a little more expensive than independent shops, but in my view you get what you pay for. My experiences with Colonial's service team have never been anything but positive. They're excellent at working around your schedule, even providing a loaner car (if one is available) when there's a lengthy repair or they need to order parts - OEM parts, not aftermarket parts, which is important to me. They always explain what they're going to do, and if something comes up while they're working they always explain the complication and ask for permission to proceed - there aren't any surprises when the bill arrives. The service reps are all friendly and helpful, and everyone has been around Volkswagens for a long time so they know the technical details if you have questions. The repairs are always done quickly and correctly the first time. Even though my car's now on the geriatric side, it's still running fine and I attribute that to Colonial's conscientious service. I see no reason to go elsewhere. More

Airbag Warning Light Brought my vehicle into Colonial due to an airbag failure light that kept coming on in my dashboard display. Car was serviced (light was now off) and Brought my vehicle into Colonial due to an airbag failure light that kept coming on in my dashboard display. Car was serviced (light was now off) and I brought it home. Next morning the light came back on. Contacted Colonial and told them of the problem. They were upset and concerned that the light had come back on . They offered me an open slot at my convenience and a loaner car at no charge to bring the car back so that they could rectify the light warning situation once and for all. I brought it back that afternoon and they had a loaner ready and waiting for me and couldn't have been more accommodating to my situation. The next day I was given a call and the entire issue was explained to me clearly and precisely and I was informed that a sensor switch inside the driver's side door had triggered the warning light. A new switch was rush ordered and installed the very next day. I picked my car up that following afternoon and was again given a thorough explanation and sincere contrition that the issue hadn't been detected at the first visit. Thank you Colonial. More

My first time in for service and the total experience was great. I made my appointment on line and when I arrived my vehicle was taken right in after the service advisor wrote up the order. Great communication and follow-through Had my car in 3 times for the same issue (inoperable horn) and Dylan worked with me each time.
