This dealership’s service department is fraudulent and unable to make simple repairs. Came in for an express oil change and a tire rotation on June 18, 2025. The service advisor messaged the front right w unable to make simple repairs. Came in for an express oil change and a tire rotation on June 18, 2025. The service advisor messaged the front right wheel’s tire pressure sensor needed replaced urgently. The estimated cost $99. I approved at that cost. When the service advisor contacted me that my car was ready to pick up, she informed me that the technician couldn’t get the newly installed sensor to work with my module because it was faulty. A new piece was ordered, and they charged me for the tire rotation (the oil change is covered) and asked that I return on the 19th. When I drove away, the car was still communicating that the front right tire had the faulty sensor. (Had my tires been rotated, that sensor would have been moved with the tire because the system automatically updates the location of the tire). I returned on the 19th. The quick swap took 2hrs. When they pulled up my bill, it said I owed $173 which is a lot higher than the $99 quoted. I spoke up and the advisor looked into it and realized they had included the faulty sensor that they put in on the 18th. She corrected the charge and informed me the module will update after 10mins of driving. After driving away, my system updated. the Front right wheel AND the rear right wheel not communicating pressure with the module. The service advisor asked that I come back (not the next day because they were swampe) at my earliest convenience. Wednesday, June 25. Waited 90min with no updates. Approached the service desk, they were getting my paperwork together. “The issue was deeper, they may need to run a diagnostic” (For which I’m assuming they wanted to charge) All the kings horse and men couldn’t put the sensors right again. I asked the service director Ernest Chockley why the they inform a customer of what repair is needed, failed to succeed at said repair inform the customer that they were wrong about the original problem so the customer needs to pay to have deeper diagnostics performed? They seem to be guessing at issues and trying to con people out of money by charging the customer for their mistakes. I requested a refund for the job that was not done and suspected they had not rotated my tires either. Chockley quite condescendingly insisted that they only worked on one tire and the fact that two sensors now we’re not working indicated my module was faulty, which is why I need a diagnostic run. However, he agreed to refund the charge for replacing the sensor. I researched the issue and possible solutions. When I looked up the part number listed on my receipt used to replace the faulty sensor. That sensor is not compatible with my vehicle make, model or year. The reason why two tires were now not reading? The mechanic on the 18th replaced the dead sensor in the front right tire with an incompatible sensor (did not perform the tire rotation I was charged for that day); then, on June 19th a different mechanic looks at my work history and assumes tires had been rotated since I was charged for a rotation. Therefore he places the new part (still incompatible) in the back rear tire. Whether the error is their ordering system or own incompetence, I ended up with two tires that contained parts that are not compatible with my car. And I’ve paid for work never performed.(i.e.Tire rotation) I found and ordered compatible sensors and had a trusted mechanic replace them. He noted that the wear on all tires is even and a trusted mechanic would not have rotated nor charged for a rotation. The fact on the 18th I arrived with a dead sensor in the front right tire it remained there implies that they did not rotate but charged me. Within less than 10 minutes of driving after installing compatible sensors I purchased, my car module updated. They work perfectly. No deeper problem. No need to pay for a diagnostic. Logic indicates a tire rotation wasn’t done yet they refuse to refund the $40 tire rotation. More
