Update : Finally got the truck back after almost a week. Had to drive up to Wisconsin 200 miles one way to get it. The dealer in Wisconsin figured out what was wrong and why also the check engine light was Had to drive up to Wisconsin 200 miles one way to get it. It was because of an aftermarket passenger side mirror 9 Installed by previuous owner ) which was missing the temp ambient sensor necessary for diesel engine. He also had to fix the plug to the ECM unit that was damaged by Hodgkins service department which put the truck out the service up there. John and Charlie at Advantage of Hodgkins took responsibility for the bill in Wisconsin and gave us a full tank of gas for our inconvenience. Got the warranties taken care of and gave us another $1,200 off the loan . They did make it up to us. Just not an experience we would wish on anyone buying a fairly new certified pre-owned. Initial review : I am only putting 2 stars because of a bad and stressful experience overall when purchasing our pre-owned certified silverado which ended broken down at a dealer in Wisconsin because of the incompetence of some service technician in Hodgkins who messed things up and also people not staying in contact with us afterwards, and the feeling of getting the run around with missing paperwork and warranties. BUT John at Advantage is finally looking into it and is trying to make things right for us ! Not happy with the inconvenience of the situation and our wasted time especially over Labor Day weekend, But I am hoping everything gets resolved very soon, and that we can get our truck back home and move on. After everything is settled I will post an update with hopefully a much better review on our overall experience. More
