PLEASE READ THIS STORY. I went in to purchase a gray Certified PRE OWNED 2017 Volkswagen Jetta. I was helped by Jason Field who seemed knowledgeable. As soon as I enter the vehicle, I notice the steerin Certified PRE OWNED 2017 Volkswagen Jetta. I was helped by Jason Field who seemed knowledgeable. As soon as I enter the vehicle, I notice the steering wheel is off. Every human on Earth knows that this is a alignment issue. I told the Jason who was sitting in the backseat that this was an issue. He said, “oh my Volkswagen does the same.” And what he didn’t know is I owned the same car in white. And I can prove it. So I told him, “well you need an alignment too.” And he said “this is normal.” Which it is not. Because my other 2017 Volkswagen Jetta is perfect. So he said “fine I’ll have the mechanics check it in the morning.” We couldn’t do the purchase due to some electrical issues. I come back the next day, and the seller pops up every now and then. And I ask “did you guys look at it?” And he said “we will, no worries.” My mistake was trusting someone which such lack of empathy or care. I should have known better. I made the transaction and I was off. I was driving on the freeway when I noticed the steering wheel was still off. So I called him up and asked “did y’all check it” and he said “yes. To which I responded “no worries I have guys that will check it”. It was completely off, LIKE REALLY off. I went to Valvoline to get an oil change and it was less than a quart, we understand that oil is maintenance, but less than a quart is not maintenance, it’s A NECESSITY FOR OIL. So I went to a mechanic, the original people that sold me my other Jetta. Immediately, I mean in the first 10 seconds they pull me aside and say “hey Chris did you crash this car?” And I said “no!!, I had it a week bro.” And they showed me how the last driver completely messed up the car by hitting the right front corner of the vehicle, with a terrible repair job. They had to repair the driver seat as it was crooked, they had to repair the gas tank because it was leaking fuel, the seat heater, the AC because there was a piece of plastic in the vent causing whistling and something else that wasn’t allowing cool air, the vents were crooked which didn’t allow full blast. And now I have to take it to the mechanics again for a possible damaged CV joint. And the alternator just gave out. As mechanics you expect that they can do two basic things. 1 check to see if there is oil. 2 tell the alignment is out by just using the steering wheel. If you can’t do that, which they didn’t. You can’t expect a mechanic capable of doing anything else. And Jason should have done better protecting me as a client. Jason with his lack of care/emotion, was devastating to me financially and emotionally. My situation, really has made me rethink how I ever buy a car again. I am a Marine Corps veteran, who just received his Firefighter state license. I am absolutely heart broken that they did this to me. -Christopher Wells More
