I was sold a lemon by Toyota of Hackensack. The car was also delivered late as well as dirty, with gum stuck in the driver handle, stains and with an old service sticker on it from a non-Toyota The car was also delivered late as well as dirty, with gum stuck in the driver handle, stains and with an old service sticker on it from a non-Toyota service center from the previous owner, all of which was promised to be taken care of at the time of purchase. I purchased the car and agreed to wait for delivery because they promised to detail and service the car. I have the pictures that I sent to the salesperson. I called several times and tried to obtain help. I was told several times someone would call me back. No one did. I literally had to call from my work number to get the original sales person to take my call. When I was finally connected to a sales manager, all I asked for was a diagnostic. He said he would get back to me, 3 months later, he never has. I took the car to a different service center and dealership that did a diagnostic and stated the transmission on the vehicle was completely shot, and Toyota would have seen the problem had they done a proper inspection. Cost to repair the transmission was over $9,000. In addition, I also just received notice of violations and fines accrued under the dealer tags when their staff drove it to deliver the car. When I did not get a response from Toyota Hackensack, I contacted Toyota Headquarters trying to go through the proper channels to resolve the issue before going through lemon lawyers. I must say that Headquarters has diligently tried to assist, and all their representatives have been kind and genuine in their efforts, but Toyota of Hackensack was also unresponsive to them as well. Toyota of Hackensack has dishonest practices and the staff I encountered after learning they sold me a lemon lacked integrity. As a Toyota customer for over 20 years, who believed in the integrity of the brand, I waited 4 months to submit my review, trusting that they would do the right thing. I am beyond shocked and disappointed. I would never recommend this dealership in Hackensack. The only thing they offered as a solution was to detail the car if I brought it back to Hackensack. I wouldn't trust them to service my car even on a detail that they both promised and owed me. I am not someone who writes negative reviews on business or staff, because I think about people's livelihoods. But in this case, I had to. I hope to prevent someone from experiencing the nightmare I have experienced with Toyota of Hackensack. They deserve zero stars. More

Very Disappointed. Total bill was $718.76.The next day i received from the dealer a coupon for $80 off my bill if i spent over $700. The coupon had to be mailed by the dealer before i had the service on the 19th. On the 20th I called to see if they would deduct the coupon from my bill and a girl there said she was sure they would but she would check with the manager. The next day she called me to say the manager would not give me the discount. No way to treat a customer that has been going there for 25 years. On the 21st Zak contacted me and said that the manager would issue me a credit for about $80 toward future service on my car. I am very well pleased with the decision and would like to thank all who were involved with my situation. Thanks Bob More

I have had two buying experiences with Toyota of Hackensack. On both occasions I had the pleasure of working with Jay Rim. I recalled Jay's unique and helpful approach when I purchased a late model RAV4 about 7 years ago. I knew then to save his contact info in case I should ever need assistance in purchasing a car or truck in the future. Jay is a seasoned sales professional who cases deeply for his customers and works relentlessly to achieve their satisfaction. I'm thankful for not only his efforts, but also those of his colleague, Abigail Luna, for the pleasant, trouble-free purchase of my new 4Runner. I traveled nearly two hours to buy my truck from Jay and Abby, and I would do so again without hesitation. I believe that fact, alone, should speak volumes about my level of satisfaction, especially with car dealerships seemingly found on every local corner. You should ask for them by name if you want to be treated fairly by sales pros that really excel at their craft. Thank you Jay and Abby! More
