I began my career in the automotive industry in February 2015 and have proudly been part of the Subaru of Gwinnett family for the past nine years. Born and raised in Atlanta, I’ve always appreciated the strong sense of community here — something that Subaru of Gwinnett embodies every day. My wife and I are raising three amazing kids — two daughters (8 and 4) and a son (6) — along with a couple of lovable rescue pups who keep things lively at home. Fun fact: my family is currently on Subaru #7, and we love taking our Subarus off-roading whenever we can! Best Ever PROS: This was my 23rd auto purchase and by far my "best car buying experience ever" and my first Subaru. My number one requirement was AWD. Subaru wa PROS: This was my 23rd auto purchase and by far my "best car buying experience ever" and my first Subaru. My number one requirement was AWD. Subaru was my preference based on reputation, and family and friends who currently own Outbacks. Also, I have known Elizabeth for decades and totally trust her. She connected me with Liam. I came in specifically to look at the Forester. Liam and I chatted a while ... went on a test drive ... reviewed features, color and the budget I needed ... located a match ... swapped offers ... and within a hour signed the paperwork. A few days later I returned for tinting and a cargo cover. My service rep was Jeff who provided me with additional education about the Forester and a loaner to run errands. Within a couple of hours I was back onsite and done. This is welcoming environment with a great staff and I highly recommend Subaru of Gwinnett. CONS: Some of the documentation does not match the vehicle and some references to the "included features" are confusing. UPDATE: Jeff provided me with his cell number to call rather than read, Google and hunt for the answers. Now that's service. More

Mostly pleasant with a couple of disappointments! I worked with Jeff Bowman who is on top of things! He is pleasant, attentive and takes good care of my 2018 Subaru Outback! After my service I had an issue with my phone connecting with the car, he took care of it in minutes. I like Subaru of Gwinnett and chose to buy my car from there. Everyone from reception, sales, service and management is nice. I had talked with the receptionist and told her my special circumstances. I assured that my car would be cleaned and sanitized when I left. And that the loaner car would be sanitized before I left the dealership. The last two items did not occur. Hence the 4-star. Once you set a customer's expectations you have to follow-through. More

I will be returning here for service. ————— Previous review: I purchased my my new 2020 Touring XT Outback from here in January of 2020. I was very impressed with the sales experience. No hassle. No pressure. Friends. Helpful. Informative. Seriously, the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. 5 stars. I had an appointment for my first service July. This was a very different experience however. I had called earlier in the week to see if they could install the 504 update for the infotainment software. The woman I spoke to said that she’d make a note of it. When I arrived for my appointment, I discussed this with my service advisor. He confirmed it was the update with full screen Apple CarPlay and that they had done it a few times and worked out the kinks. He confirmed that they would do it and that my car would be ready in 1 to 1.5 hours. I asked if he could call me when it was done. He said he would. 2 hours later, I had not heard anything. With the dealership about to close in 10 minutes for the day, I tried to call. No one answered. So I showed up right before closing. My car was ready. He confirmed that they did the oil change, rotated the tires, and did the software update. He gave me his business card with his direct phone number in case I had any questions or problems. So, I drove away only to realize a few minutes later that the software did not appear to be updated. I looked at the paperwork. On it they claimed my software was already up to date. This is the opposite of what he had told me verbally. I knew this was wrong, but confirmed in the settings that I had version 503. Yet, I have a copy of the month-old Subaru service bulletin regarding the 504 update. Again, even the service advisor was aware of this update. As soon as I got home I called his direct line and got his voicemail. I left a message. It’s now been a week and I haven’t heard a thing. Additionally, my system was still throwing up reminders that the car was due for service. They never reset the reminder. So to recap: 1) My service advisor was aware of the update and said they installed it. They didn’t. 2) he told me it would take 1 to 1.5. It took 2. 3) he told me he would call me when it was done. He didn’t. 4) they didn’t even reset the service reminders. 5) I called his direct line and left a voicemail message and still have not received a call back in a week. This was a terrible first impression. Could it have been worse? I suppose so, but not by much. Despite having free service here for a year because I bought my car here, I think I’m going to take my vehicle elsewhere for service from now on. More
