Just bought my wife a 2021 Toyota forerunner. This dealership is awesome I get all my service work done here never have any issues I myself have a 2017 Toyota tundra. Chris is AWESOME! We purchased sight unseen and drove from south of San Antonio to Rockwall to pick it up. The long distance could not have been any smoother. My salesman Michael Campbell was awesome; very respectful and easy going. However, the finance department: Joey and John are two of the best people in the industry. Provided inaccurate information, unreliable. Terrible, not reliable, or trustworthy with giving information (Karissa and Joey). Karrisa text my husband that the time spent at Toyota of Rockwal Terrible, not reliable, or trustworthy with giving information (Karissa and Joey). Karrisa text my husband that the time spent at Toyota of Rockwall to complete paperwork and financing would be "and hour max." My husband and I arrived at 715PM and left after many lies and inaccuracies after 11PM. Unprofessional with talking to me and my husband (Karissa and Joey). Joey tried to pressure me to quickly complete financing (sign documents), when my husband left the room. Joey claimed, "he's (my husband) not going to help you if you're ever in a wreck" (Joey). Joey publicly engaged my husband in a verbal dispute that the Toyota of Rockwall payment estimate calculator did not offer an 84-month finance option. Joey claimed to know because, "I helped make it". When my husband showed on his phone the payment calculator with 84-months, Joey said, "That's a different calculator." My husband then showed the calculator was from the Toyota of Rockwall's website. Joey then explained that my husband used/inputted, "bad information". Karissa doesn't seem to understand why the RAV4 displayed on it's screen 14.9 MPG, which seemed to be a poor MPG number. She explained that, " The vehicle has only made short trips." When asked further, she explained differently that the vehicle, "Doesn't have a full tank of gas". My husband and I could not understand her reasoning as to how "short trips" and "a full tank" would have any bearing on the displayed 14.9 MPG. Badgering (Joey). As my husband and I left for the evening, Joey kept following us from his office to the front of the showroom floor. My husband had to ask Joey twice while walking to, "Please stop" when Joey wouldn't quit harassing with his comments. More

The team at Toyota Rockwall are "Good ole' boys" who can probably handle an in person elementary deal well enough. Try doing a deal long distance, however, and you will be shocked! Shocked at the incompetence and the dealership culture of letting customer follow up slide for days and weeks, in spite of 5, 6, 7 requests for follow up. Had I known about their lack of professionalism and their "I could care less about servicing the customer if it involves work" attitude, I never would have pursued a used vehicle advertised on AutoTrader by them. By the time I realized that I was dealing with an unorganized sloppy company, I was too far into a committed situation. 6 weeks after agreeing on a price, there are still unresolved issues! One issue relates to interest charges tagged onto my loan as a result of directions given by Scott Smith, finance manager for Toyota Rockwall (I questioned the date on the sales contract, which was 2 weeks earlier that contract execution date. He assured me that interest would not accrue until actual loan funding. He was 100% wrong). Scott confirms that his error has cost me about $100; but he will not respond to my multiple attempts to ask him to write a letter to the finance company to clear up the contract execution date when the sales contract went into force. This is after he sent me a sales contract via FedEx that had the wrong interest payment spelled out (higher than agreed upon, of course), wrong address, wrong state of registration. Before sending me the error filled contract, I asked for him to scan it as an attachment to an email; thus allowing me to review it before using FedEx. He said his dealership was incapable of such technology (the auto industry has had boiler plate software available for well over a decade that allows a sales contract to be done electronically, but this dealership is so far behind the times that they still are only capable of using a printed contract with carbon copies). His boss and boss' boss? Forget it - I left a respectful VM or email for them; but no reply whatsoever. Cory Thomas, sales manager, failed to respond to my emails (and VMs and texts) for exactly 14 days, leaving me hanging with zero follow up (I wanted someone to walk around the slightly used car and send me photos of any dings, dents, scratches, etc...). When I finally got him on the phone, he said that he "delegated" the follow up to others. When I told him that no one has followed up and I asked him why he would not reply to me directly when I asked questions of him directly, he had no answer. Did Corey follow up after speaking to me and being embarrassed at his failure to follow up for 2 weeks? No - he went back into stealth mode, not replying or servicing me with even the courtesy of saying, "I am sorry". These guys are not part of a top notch professional dealership. Their culture is one of leaving the customer hanging if it involves any work; and they have absolutely no problem rationalizing failure to execute even an elementary level of service. I even had to tell Corey to simply treat me as he would want to be treated. It made no difference. Their incompetence cost me immensely when all I requested was basic follow up with rational expectations. Buyer beware! FOLLOW UP: I don't know how or why, but I looked at my old review where I gave all 1 stars on every rating and guess what: 3 out of the 5 categories for ratings were elevated to 3 stars! I have re-rated every category to 1 star. More

I had to build a list of who are the best within a 120 mile from my home. I created a list of ten dealerships. My focus was who would be a good family fit. I looked for information via word of mouth, news paper ads, the way people respond to our phone calls, and if they wanted to do business with you. My final out come came down to Toyota of Rockwall. Now I had to test my findings. Sue Elliott met us at the call desk and found a place to meet, and she seem very interested in meeting our needs. Sue contacted Corey Thomas to meet with us and he was like family and also want to meet our needs. Joey Desrosiers was very helpful and remind me of a helpful teacher who asked the right questions and answer all our question. Justin Hogue welcome us to the service shop.Sue closed with helping us know what we purchased and how it works. I was impressed with all the people we worked with but I was also impressed with the people waiting on the great service we received. More
