My wife and I made an appointment for yesterday, February 10, 2026, to go to Sport Subaru in Orlando having never been there before. We arrived about 15 minutes early and Wendell was waiting at the front doo 10, 2026, to go to Sport Subaru in Orlando having never been there before. We arrived about 15 minutes early and Wendell was waiting at the front door and introduced himself. We could immediately see that he was not the "old school" high pressure car salesman. Wendell was polite, courteous, clearly intelligent and pleasant to speak with. We came to Sport Subaru because other than one Ford dealer this was the only dealership in Florida I could find that did not have an absurd "dealer fee" in the small print on their website. More about that later. On to Wendell. We had not planned on buying a car, merely to test drive the newer version of a car we had owned before, an Outback. Wendell quickly got to work bringing the car model and trim level we were looking for to outside the showroom and then very patiently and thoroughly took my wife and I through all the features of the vehicle. Then we went for the test drive with both my wife and I driving the car. Afterward Wendell gave us a tour of the dealership and explained where to go for maintenance service or any problems and emphasized that any questions we had after leaving to feel free to call Wendell directly. Short story is Wendell made everything very easy and actually our 5 hours or so there at the dealership was a pleasant experience, something I had not been accustomed to in my 70 years when buying a new car. Long story short we wound up buying the car. We had not brought a check book so we located a branch of our bank not far away and they cleaned and prepared the car (full tank of gas) while we went for the cashier's check. If we had been greeted by the high pressure sales type on arrival that would not have happened. So Sport Subaru can thank Wendell for making this a great experience. Now about the dealership: Sport Subaru advertises dealer discounts on new cars and no excessive "dealer fee", which for most dealers in Florida is not the case. I find those fees offensive because they are just dealer markup and increased profit. They are dishonest and I detest dishonesty. And then they stood by their advertising 100%. Their finance guy Jon, a very pleasant gentleman, has to take you through the extended warranty offers but again no pressure. Long story shortened we left the same day with the new Outback and our total cost (we were not doing a trade-in) was just under $65 over the manufacturer's window sticker MSRP. That included sales tax for our county, new license tag, and vehicle registration and title. To me you can't beat that. Even though the discounts and no extra fees apply only to new car purchases I don't believe you can do better. If you are interested in a new Subaru I recommend you drive as far as you have to and go to Sport Subaru in Orlando. Make an appointment and ask for Wendell and you are guaranteed a great experience. By the way the 2026 Outback is an excellent car, much better than the previous generation which was already really great. More

Sales person is amazing and saved the deal. Finance is shady. They tried to extend the payment terms without informing us. They hoped we would sign and not notice.
