Mr. Diaz was very personable and treated my wife and I great throughout the whole process, he discussed & showed us all of the Palisade’s features in detail, and allowed for us to drive a Palisade. We loved the Palisade and needless to say, we went home with a 2020 Hyundai Palisade. We highly recommend Universal Hyundai after our experience. Thank you Darrin Diaz and thank you to the the rest of the crew Universal Hyundai! More

Bad Service I went in to buy a car and once they got my money, I did not get a thank you, they didn't even fill the tank up with gas. I keep getting the run a ro I went in to buy a car and once they got my money, I did not get a thank you, they didn't even fill the tank up with gas. I keep getting the run a round for the $50 Gift card that was promised to me. I was told that they can deliver the car to me because I did not have anywhere to get there, but when the time came the salesman Luis Garcia told me that was my problem now because I had already bought the car. They basically just said well, we got the sale so forget her now. I will not recommend going to this dealer ever and I wish I had taken my money elsewhere. p.s there was no hand sanitizer at all. Buyer Beware I received an email from DealerRater notifying me that the dealership had responded to my original review, but that review is not on this website now. I received an email from DealerRater notifying me that the dealership had responded to my original review, but that review is not on this website now. Can the dealers remove reviews? I purchased a 2020 Hyundai Accent from Universal Hyundai in Orlando. And now I regret it. Initially, I was interested in the Veloster, as Universal advertised with an Internet Price of $14,635. I then received an email “offer” for the same VIN at $17,126. When I questioned this via email, I was told by Madison that an implied “internet manager” named Janlique would “work with me on that”. I then had a text exchange with “Valerie” about other models to look at, and set an appointment with her for the Friday at 5.30. She confirmed that appointment Friday morning. When I arrived at Universal, neither Valerie, Janlique, nor Madison were on property. I was told their hours always ended at 5pm. Then why are they making appointments, by name, with customers? Why the switch in personnel? The Veloster was not to my liking, although the excuses had already started about the vast difference between "Internet Price" and offered price. So we looked at the Venue and finally the Accent. I will say that Mario went out of his way to find me a manual transmission Accent. Then I had Mario and his Manager double-teaming me on the Accent, and I felt badly pressured and confused. I should have walked out. After signing, and when I was back home, I looked up the Universal Hyundai website, where their “Internet Price” on the same stock number I had just bought was just short of $4,000 less expensive. Now, I had already experienced their Bait and Switch tactics on the Veloster, so I should have expected it on the Accent. I have since contacted Mario about the price discrepancy, and my requested contact with his Manager or the dealership’s GM has been ignored. For some reason, Mario told me I should contact the Finance Manager, which I did and which has also been ignored. Yet another employee, Michael, identifying himself as the "BDC Director" did get back to me, arguing via email that the "Internet Price" wouldn't have been offered to me for a variety of justifications, including that I had been "overpaid" (by four times, no less) for my trade-in, even though the amount was in accord with KBB and Edmunds estimates I had with me and I was honest about the condition and history. I chose Hyundai as a product because of online ratings and because of the warranty. I chose Universal Hyundai as it is near my office. My experience there, however, ticked all the boxes on the Predatory Car Salesman List: switching sales associates, Bait and Switch in Internet pricing, multiple employees at the “negotiating table”, pressure, a Gish Gallup of various numbers, a Finance Manager who spent most of his time insisting that the warranty wasn’t enough and I should pay yet more money for the extended warranty, and serious spin on why they charge whatever they want to. I shouldn't have completed the sale, but I offer my experience to say "Buyer Beware"; this is what you can expect at Universal Hyundai. The second star is because I did actually get the finance deal I wanted. More
