Truck was towed to dealership because the Key had stopped interfacing w/our 2012 F250. Truck had zero other issues. Been well maintained. It is well documented on Ford forums that the key issue is a well known problem. Joseph called to tell me the TCP unit was faulty and needed to be replaced. I told him I would want the old parts. I asked about the key, he said it wasn’t working because tcp unit was bad. He said that the key would get programmed to the new tcp unit. I reminded him again to give me the old tcp parts. Joseph then calls me and tells me the truck key is bad and I will need to purchase a new key. I get frustrated and told him I knew that was the original problem. Joseph said he would make sure to not charge me any extra and that the bill would basically be the same price. WHAT?.. I pick up the truck today and my fuse panel is open on the passenger side of the truck and my mat folded in half.. I ask one of the techs to please fix it and he tells me, my technician will have to do it.. great customer service.. not! I wait another ten minutes for my tcp part and shocker Victor(customer consultant) can’t find it. Tells me he went through Joseph’s old parts but can’t find the tcp unit.. Do you wonder why people don’t trust dealerships? Possibly the tcp unit was bad but not providing the customer w/ parts from their own truck, that they specifically requested to receive is shoddy business practices. So I have no idea if a new tcp unit was actually put in or not..? I was probably overcharged by $300+ because I’m pretty sure all I needed was a key… More
