Experience Obtaing a Duplicate Honda Key When I arrived for service I did not know that it was really a two-step process. First your Parts Manager had to check to see if the key blanks were When I arrived for service I did not know that it was really a two-step process. First your Parts Manager had to check to see if the key blanks were available and he reviewed the cost. Then you need an appointment with Service for the actual programming. Once you understand that, you are ready to do business. Both Josh in Service and Brian in Parts performed efficiently. Is there a way to make this a one-step process for future customers? Love the car and love the service Driving a Honda doesn't require a lot of service. But, when you need it, Honda of Ames is a great place. Battery Problems On the 24th of January I went out to start my Honda Civic and found that the Battery was not enough to start it. I then went over to our CRV and it to On the 24th of January I went out to start my Honda Civic and found that the Battery was not enough to start it. I then went over to our CRV and it too would not turn over. I planned to jump start my Civic from my CRV, but that option wasn't viable. I called the Honda service desk and they sent a person with a jump kit to attempt to start start one of my cars so I could bring it in for a new battery. It was successful and I managed to gt the CRV equipped with a new battery and then when I got home the Jump start worked on the Civic and got it to the Service center for a new battery as well. Thanks to Josh and the fine service team at Honda I was able to get both vehicles up and running again in a few hours. I have always had a great experience with these folks at Honda for the past 14 years. They go out of their way to help you out of difficult situations. Well Done! More

Love my Honda and Love the service! I purchased my first Honda in 2002 from Honda of Ames. I took it to their service department for regular oil changes and any additional maintenance th I purchased my first Honda in 2002 from Honda of Ames. I took it to their service department for regular oil changes and any additional maintenance that was needed. I like having my car serviced by the dealership because they keep a detailed report of everything that has been done. I kept the 2002 Honda Accord until 2015 when I traded it in for a certified used 2013 Honda Civic. It, too, has been getting regular service at Honda of Ames. When I need another car, it will be purchased from Honda of Ames. I would also like to say that all the people there are very personable and easy to work with. Thank you! More
