Its just an overall sense that (a) new vehicles are overpriced and (b) the internet age makes the buying/pricing process seem more open, but in a way, you're starting at the "lowest possible price" so it feels more like a take it or leave it transaction. We were over a barrel and needed a vehicle and no matter what kind of vehicle we bought, we'd be spending upwards of $35k. We ended up spending $37k. The Pilot is a fine vehicle, I think we chose wisely vs. all the other SUV's out there, I just think the prices on new vehicles are a king's ransom. It sort of is what it is, but I'm entitled to my opinion just like you're entitled to get the most you can for Hondas. Yes, we get to put ALL of the first miles on it and we're assuming we won't have any problems for at least 75,000 miles, but we all know that you lose several thousand dollars just driving it off the lot. Vehicles are a bad investment, so to speak--especially brand new ones.
