Once you leave the dealership you are on your own! Less than a year after purchasing my Jeep with Hayes Chrysler, the battery went out. I contacted service manager Mark Chitwood about seeing what Less than a year after purchasing my Jeep with Hayes Chrysler, the battery went out. I contacted service manager Mark Chitwood about seeing what could be done about it since I was told that I had a bumper to bumper warranty thru 42,000 miles since my 2013 certified jeep had 30,000 miles when I bought it in Jan of 2015. Mr. Chitwood told me that the battery was not a warranty item because I had 39,000 miles on the vehicle at the time it went out. I told Mr. Chitwood that I could not do business with Hayes Chrysler any longer. He then agreed to split the cost of a new battery. However, I was unable to get my battery to even jump start that day to get to Hayes Chrysler. So I took my wife's car and purchased a new one at the Auto Zone for $180 in order to be able to get up and running. I attempted to contact Mr. Chitwood 2 more times to explain to him what had happened and he did not respond to either of my voicemails. For these reasons I have given the service department a poor review for customer satisfaction and communication. I do not think that they should give you a bumper to bumper warranty for a certified pre-owned jeep and then not take care of any issues that come up within that period.
