We were very impressed with Temitope and Hopkins Honda. We have already recommended both to friends & family. We bought a Honda CRV with many features we’ve never had before. Temi was very good at explaining everything and very patient with us. He also kept us updated about when our new car was going to arrive and took the time to make a video of our car when it came in. Had a really good interaction with our sales rep, Ray. He was patient, helpful and low pressure. We had to bring our four young children with us and Ray was accommodating and thoughtful. Hicham was great to start out with our experience but it went downhill. There were some confusion and frustration on the interest rate and the process. Day one, we picked a Van and started discussing the in went downhill. There were some confusion and frustration on the interest rate and the process. Day one, we picked a Van and started discussing the interest rates with our bank. We were texting back and forth with the dealership while we communicate with our bank about the interest rates. The Finance worker, Edward, stopped texting us. Day two, We went into Honda to see workers again to discuss the interest rate they can offer. We got in and sales man Hicham was busy. This gave us time to wonder outside at the other cars. We spotted an SUV that we may also be interested in. Finally, Hicham was ready for us and he introduced us to Matt, the finance manager. He informed us the interest rate they found with their banks. He was ready to have us start the papers. At that point, we still wanted to discuss the interest rate with our bank about matching the rate. We were trying to communicate this over the phone before coming back into the shop. We expressed that we thought their interest rate would be lower due to our previous conversation with the previous finance worker Edward. And also, there may be a different car we're interested in. At this point, Matt and Hicham showed us their frustrations. Matt said to us he doesn't "care" for the interest rate. He just need a bank to be name as the loan holder. He looked at Hicham and call him back and basically said we're not ready. Felt like he tossed us back to Hicham. Hicham looked at us and said, "You guys don't want the car anymore?" One of them said, "You guys want the van or the SUV? You gotta choose one.." At this point, they both showed their frustration with us with their tone of voice. We were shock at how they were talking to us. They put us on the spot to choose. We haven't started the papers yet and wanted to still talk about the numbers and options, while they were already set for us to sign papers. We felt like the bad customers. But we never said we weren't buying. We still wanted to know our options. The moment they sensed we still wanted to keep our options open, instead of helping us with the process and being patience with us, they made us fee like we were an inconvenient. It's not our fault the previous finance worker stop communicating with us before we came back into the store. The one thing we did not want was to be rushed with this process. While the team took awhile to get back to us, we saw a different car that caught our eyes. After getting more details on the car, we decided to stick to our first pick. Matt continued to help with us the paper works and we bought the van. The whole experience just felt like the company just want to make the sale. The moment they sense we may had changed our mind on a car, they became unprofessional and unfriendly. We felt they were NOT listening to our needs and instead jumped to conclusion. They jumped right away to the papers, jumped right away and assumed we weren't going to buy and panicked and change their tone of voice. The were putting us on the spot to make the decision right then and there. We had to ask for them to give us a minute while we discuss our options privately. The attitude and tone of voice Hicham and Matt gave us was rude and unprofessional. As if we were an inconvenient. We should had walked out and look somewhere else. But we really did like the van. After deciding that we want the van, everything did go smoothly. They both were friendly again, papers all signed. We do not appreciate how they were rude made us feel inconvenient. Maybe the team need to work on slowing down and not pressure or guilt the customers and keep communication better. We are really surprise Matt is the Finance manager. First impression/encounter was poor. This will be the only car we buy from this Honda Dealership and would not recommend others to buy. You will only be treated with respect if you purchase from them. More
