I'll start off by saying everyone I interacted with was really great! We were very impressed with the customer service when we came to view the Mini. My brother ended up going next door that day to put his really great! We were very impressed with the customer service when we came to view the Mini. My brother ended up going next door that day to put his i4 order in. There were some issues though... 1. The process of purchasing the car felt delayed. We were sitting around for awhile during the process and felt a little rushed signing contracts right before closing even though we arrived hours before. 2. We brought a car for trade in and were happy to get a fair price. But the car was not put in park and ended up rolling into another car on the lot. Thankfully we turned the car over to Ferman prior to the accident and it did not affect the value of our trade. 3. Within 2 weeks of purchasing the car that was in "excellent" condition, the clutch went out and it became undrivable. Then the following day, the glass came unglued from the soft top. We were originally quoted over 10k for the repairs. Thankfully the dealership offered to help with the repair costs for the clutch, but not for the soft top since it was the original and almost 10 years old. The clutch repair was completed promptly and well done. I immediately noticed a difference in the stiffness of the clutch compared to the day I bought it. I was told that the internal inspection did not find anything wrong with the clutch, but looking back I feel like there were enough signs that the clutch was going bad that it should have been inspected further before listing it for sale on the lot. Unfortunately, we were not able to test drive the car before purchase because it was still in service. Had I done so, I would have questioned the clutch longevity prior to purchase. No one expects to drop thousands in repairs on a car right after driving it off the lot. The car is now in another shop to have the glass on the soft top glued back on since I'm not about to spend $5,000 on a new convertible top. If I ever recommend Ferman pre-owned to a friend, I'll be sure to pass along my positive experiences but warn also that they should have an independent inspection done prior to purchasing a car. Otherwise, I enjoyed the experience and look forward to driving the car once all the repairs are completed. More
