Good price, not so good finish to the process

Kelvin was very easy to work with and offered me the best price for the car I could find so I went in and bought it. Kelvin quoted one finance rate and paperwork was created with a different rate. The incorrect rate was not pointed out during the signing process by Mike, the finance manager, and subsequently went unnoticed by me until I got home. When I communicated the error through email, Kelvin and I had the same "story" of what went down at the dealership regarding the interest rate. Mike and I then had an unpleasant conversation, which essentially implied that I either didn't remember the events of the day before or I was lying about them. I wasn't happy. After further discussion at the dealership between Kelvin, Mike, and the head of Sales, Mike corrected the interest rate to what was agreed upon at the time of the sale. I had to make another trip to Wilmington to sign the new paperwork, and they had to send a driver to Raleigh for my daughter to sign because of her very busy clinical schedule at NC State Vet Hospital. Although requested by me, there was no compensation (in the form of Sportage car accessories) for our dissatisfaction of the process or time and expenses required to fix their mistake. I feel that this inexpensive and easy fix to an unpleasant sales experience would have made a difference. Experiences like mine are what gives car salesmen a bad name.
