Terrible and not worth it! A free oil change turned in to a costly turbo swap. I own a 2000 Ford f-250 super duty with a 7.3L powerstroke. This truck normally takes 15w 40 motor A free oil change turned in to a costly turbo swap. I own a 2000 Ford f-250 super duty with a 7.3L powerstroke. This truck normally takes 15w 40 motor oil. The only time that 10w 30 is recommended but not required is in temperatures below freezing. By this time of the oil change, temperatures were already in the 70's. The thin motor oil got so thin while driving that it wasn't being supplied to the top of the turbo which caused it to overheat and fail. When the dealership was confronted about it. The only answer they could give me was they've been putting this oil in diesel trucks for the last 15 years when on their site and in the owner's manual, it clearly says to use 15w 40 and my truck is 19 years old, not 15. They told me it was nothing they could do about. They couldn't even give me a rental car while my truck was getting repaired even though I bought the truck through them and I'm still paying on it, which is another thing I had to pay out of pocket. Not only did I have to buy another turbo but I also had to sell one of my rifles to help pay for everything. More
