But, I was also in the market to trade, and my salesperson, who I have worked with for 5 years now, knew exactly what I wanted and respected my budget. I had my new wheels within the week, and the process was seamless. Hadi - you are truly amazing! Thank you Hadi!!! Herb Chambers never fails to disappoint! Every experience at Herb Chambers dealership I have had over the years shows true incompetence and lack of genuine card for the customers. When I went to pickup the car, GPS was not installed/updated so had to wait 30 minutes for that; everyone was more concerned with looking cool working at a BMW dealership then with addressing my concerns or providing clear answers. Jim never clearly explained that there is no remote starter which I said from beginning was a priority for me so that was a surprise also at pickup. Then he was more concerned with the next customer rather then sitting down with me and explaining car features (which luckily the BMW Genius staff did and did an awesome job). First thing Jim said when I came to get the car was I need $125 from you for the mats (which i forgot to include in the original deal) - seemed like that was the most important part of the process then going over car features or anything else. He also did not go over any additional features that i could add to the car, i actually had to mention some of them myself to get them. Instead the answer was - well what do you want to add? I want you to tell me all there is and then i would choose, but didn't seem like there was any interest in that. Omar was great but did not explain the various packages clearly, rather just said it's a no brainer to get the tire protection package for $2900... I am sorry but its not a no brainer for me, it's my first BMW and i don't know about it's tire quality. Besides, my friend has a brand new Cadillac CT6 and got his tire package for $900 (both of our cars cost the same). Giovanni said no German cars have remote starters, then said some of the new models have it, then said his X5 has it and showed it off to me proudly... again, I would have loved this info before i selected my vehicle. No one was rude but the general sense of total carelessness about customer needs and complete lack of clear communication was certainly overwhelming. It felt like making a profit and charging for everything was most important (could have thrown the all weather mats for free when they saw I was frustrated with numerous issues, but no, no one cared to do anything to make up for my frustrations). I work in a hospitality industry so I am more sensitive about treating customers with genuine care vs. with indifference. More
