The previously owned department is horrible. I bought a new Mercedes at Walters years ago and the car purchase experience was good. However my experience with my recent cash purchase was horrendous. I’ve lost all faith in the Walters auto group and will never Buy from them again nor will I refer anymore friends or relatives to them. More

What an awful experience. I am 8 months pregnant and I drove two hours to this dealership just to meet with the most unprofessional manager I’ve ever encountered. I called 2 days ago to inquire about a sp drove two hours to this dealership just to meet with the most unprofessional manager I’ve ever encountered. I called 2 days ago to inquire about a specific vehicles availability and made sure to ask about there willingness to come down on the price before I made my appointment. The vehicle was listed at $16,800 which is comparable to what I found at many other dealerships but I liked this color. I explained to Zabrina that it was about $1000 higher then I would like to pay and she assured me they could consider an offer and that she would make note for the salesperson who would be meeting with me. Upon arrival the salesperson I met with named Selvin was very kind, allowed me to test drive and inspect the car. In doing so I found a huge deep scratch about 3 inches long on the trunk that had been covered in touch up paint. And as I worked my way around the vehicle I spotted multiple chips that were also poorly covered with touch up paint. The trunk liner was damaged and would need replacing, and the interior had several scratches and scuffs and had clearly not been detailed well as I could still see the dog hair in between the front and rear seats. However, I was still interested because I like the color, the price was comparable to other dealerships, and I had driven all the way there so I figured we could discuss a fair price. Selvin and I sat down to go over the financing. I was already pre approved through my bank just to make things easier. While reviewing my approval I explained I would like to discuss the price and he offered to send over his manager who he explained would be able to discuss any reduction in the listed price. Here is where things became incredibly unprofessional. This man, who didn’t even bother to introduce himself came over and straight away asked if I had the money to cover the additional $500 after tax, title, and fees. I had only requested a loan for $18000 as I had the intention of putting down $2000 anyways. I explained that I did, however I wasn’t comfortable with the price as the vehicle had many defects I wasn’t aware of prior to inspection. He then became clearly agitated and started to tell me how he wasn’t going to fix anything cosmetic for that price. I agreed that was understandable but I would still want to repair these issues so I’d like to discuss the price I pay to factor in those costs. He then states he’d like to see what I’m talking about, so we head out to the car so I could point them out to him. Once he sees them he begins to go off again about how he wasn’t going to repair them and if anything he could glue the trunk liner but that’s it. This was a severe crack and would clearly need to be replaced. So again I stated, I am fine with taking the car as is. But I’d like the price to reflect that. It was at this point he decided to tell me that this is a no haggle dealership and the price is firm. 3 conversations with three different employees and this is the first I am hearing of this. I’d also like to point out that no where on their website or the listing I found originally on AutoTrader does it state that they are a no haggle dealership. I explain that I specifically asked the first person I made contact with if they would accept a lower offer and that she told me yes. He asks who I spoke with and I tell him Zabrina. He tells me “oh well she just handles scheduling, she can’t confirm prices” so I ask why would she say that if it wasn’t an option. This man looked me straight in the face and tells me “well I don’t know, you should call and ask her.” Obviously at this point you have already lost my business but I point out that she does not work for me, she works for your dealership and the information your employees provide should be accurate. Again, I would not have driven 2 hours at 8 months pregnant if I knew the price was firm. It was more than I wanted to pay before I saw all the cosmetic issues. He shrugs and says he won’t lower the price so I thank him and walk away. I would have taken $16000 btw. But he never asked. More
