I'm submitting a second review because I'm not sure my first one got sent. I had a very good experience at Bloomington Hyundai yesterday. Nate couldn't have been any nicer. He didn't pressure us at all and was patient and explained things so thoroughly. I'm sure I'll enjoy my Tucson. I need to study the book now!😊 Thanks for helping me out. More

I won't go anywhere else to buy a car or have my car serviced. My sales person is terrific and the service staff is professional and trustworthy. My husband and I’s experience was fantastic with Nate. He was honest, candid and personable and worked hard to reach a deal that benefited both us and the dealership. We also love our new car and feel like we got a great sale price. Our experience with Luke in finance is where things went downhill quickly. Luke was incredibly disrespectful and demeaning. In trying to sell us on additional warranty packages, Luke both used incorrect / inflated costs of repairs and insinuated that my husband and I didn’t know anything about car repair costs. He was rude and temperamental when we turned down the additional warranties. He also asked us if the reason we turned down the extra warranties is because we couldn’t afford our monthly payments and proceeded to ask an extremely inappropriate question of how we acquired cash for our down payment. He also called our bank which our car loan was financed through ‘shady as xxxx’ for reducing our interest rate when he tried to sell us on financing through the dealership. All around - he was awful to interact with and I am shocked a dealership would want him to be the final face of their company and brand to customers. Additionally, since we financed our auto loan through our bank, there should have been absolutely no reason that the dealership would need to do a hard pull on our credit scores. We were asked to sign a form that allowed them to do so, and in questioning the reason for that, we were told that we did not need to give approval and it wasn’t necessary. Lo and behold, I later learned that this dealership did in fact do a hard pull on our credit scores even after my husband and I expressly did not consent to that. Upon research, I learned that this is in fact a fully illegal process that many dealerships still take part in. The only reason a dealership should ever pull a customer’s credit score is if they are financing a car loan through them. The reason they cited as to why they needed to pull our credit score is because we wrote a personal check for the amount of the car, however we were never told at any point in time that if we were to have used a cashiers check, they would not have needed to pull our credit scores. If we had been told that, we would have gotten a cashiers check. Instead, this dealership illegally pulled our scores without our consent, thus negatively impacting our credit scores. We will never return to this dealership again and we will always guide our friends and family away from Luther Bloomington Hyundai due to their extremely questionable business practices. More
