I would like to put in a commendation for your employee Michael Douglas, who drove the shuttle today to pick me up from my home and bring me back to the service center to pick up my car, Tuesday, February Michael Douglas, who drove the shuttle today to pick me up from my home and bring me back to the service center to pick up my car, Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at approximately 1:00 p.m. While we were driving on 580 eastbound between the Bayview and Central Avenue exits, a man driving a silver BMW got behind us driving too fast. Michael was going about 60-65 in the fast lane and the man in the BMW was probably going around 80. Apparently we weren’t going fast enough because the man started tailgating, and then recklessly pulled in front of us and slowed to about 50 miles an hour while shaking his fist and giving Michael the finger. The BMW driver was obviously trying to pick a road rage fight, but Michael wasn’t having any of it. He kept the shuttle van speed steady and didn’t engage with the other driver. The BMW driver then sped off. Michael said, “he must be having a really bad day,” and we laughed about it. I was so impressed with Michael’s calm demeanor and professional driving skills that I felt compelled to share this story with you. Michael is an exemplary employee, and I’m glad he was my Shuttle Driver today. Once back at the shop, Peggy Martinez did such a good job explaining everything that had been inspected and fixed on my car, and made recommendations to get two of my tires immediately replaced, since the edges were balding. I'm getting that done today by my Tire guy, since I'm leaving for a 1,000+ mile road trip tomorrow. Overall, every employee at Albany Suburu Service Department I dealt with is friendly and professional, and best of all, laughed at my silly jokes, like: Two Jumper Cables walk into a bar, and the bartender says, "You guys better not be starting something!" :D More
