I had a great experience at Wilde working with Jerry Ortega, and feel so fortunate that he was the one who ended up helping me buy my car. After working with so many stereotypical salesmen ("I can tell you're a smart buyer,"...."Look at my salesman of the year trophy!"....etc etc), it was like a breath of fresh air talking with someone who spoke to me like a human being and actually seemed interested in helping me find what I wanted. Jerry was patient and explained everything in a way I could understand. I ended up buying a beautiful 2004 Honda Accord, and when I took it to my mechanic, he said it looked great and had been well taken car of. Wilde had it washed for me, and they did all the necessary maintenance on it before it was even up for sale, so I don't have anything to do for a few months! If I ever buy another car, I'll be going back to Jerry for sure! On another note, my experience working with the finance guy was more typical of my experience with salesmen at other dealers. When I mentioned interest in a pre-paid maintenance plan, he spent quite a bit of time trying to push it on me, telling me what a great deal it was, that almost every gets it "too late" and that I would be saving so much money! Thank goodness for my savvy brother who came with me--he was able to crunch the numbers sitting right there, and finally pulled out of the guy that I would more likely break even on the the plan, as opposed to saving all that money. Afterwards, he admitted to me that he thought I'd actually lose money even with the discount (a matter of opinion, I'm sure). But when I mentioned my mechanic to the finance guy, he made this face that said, "You go THERE??" Then he proceeded to bash my mechanic on the grounds of what "other people" had said, and said skeptically that he was glad they worked out for my family, at least (not to mentioned my entire neighborhood!!). I felt that his treatment of my decision to go to a different mechanic was rude and patronizing, so I would give me experience working with Mr. Finance a 2. More

I bought a used Honda Pilot and was coming from Indianapolis. Both Jon and Shawn were very helpful, honest, responsive, and up front when speaking to them over the phone about the car. I flew into Madison to make the purchase and drive the car home. They sent a driver to pick me up at the airport, which was helpful. The car was just as described by them over the phone, and in great condition. The whole experience with the team from Wilde, from buying the car with Jon and Shawn, to dealing with Peter in the finance department, was exceptional. They made the whole experience great. I didn't plan on buying a new vehicle the day I stopped, I was just going to get some of the initial looking and pricing out of the way. I purchased the vehicle on November 13, 2013. The salesman, Brent is an exceptional person and very personable. We couldn't get him or Shawn to move very much on price but they did throw in some ext salesman, Brent is an exceptional person and very personable. We couldn't get him or Shawn to move very much on price but they did throw in some extra perks that "sealed the deal" and I was very happy with the deal. I then bought the 100K bumper to bumper warranty (We purchased a 2011 Honda CRV with 33K miles on it) from Peter in the business office at a very fair price. The next day I noticed the brakes grinding even though they were new brakes. I took the SUV back and expressed my concern over that, and a less than acceptable (to me) touch up paint job on the passenger doors that I hadn't noticed before. Peter took excellent care of that with additional touch-up. Unfortunately that was the one and only day the brakes didn't grind and they inspected them anyway and could find nothing. I brought the car back in a week later for a buffing on the touch-up, as Peter suggested, and let them know the brakes were always grinding now. Nick sent me with a technician for a ride and the noise was evident, from "rust on the rotors and minor pitting". They gave me a loaner car for two days and when I came back they had the rotors turned (no more brake noise...thanks guys) and the touch-up paint buffed. OUTSTANDING SERVICE from Nick the service writer, Brent, who was very helpful all through this process, and Peter, Used Car manager. This trend continued throughout my visit with the dealership ---> everyone speaks to you as if you've known each other for ages, and it's in a manner that makes you comfortable, trusting, and not pressured to make a decision on the spot. I took a test drive with the sales consultant, Katie Martinson, who was very knowledgeable of the vehicle and making sure it was the right car for me. While in the office working on the paperwork to finalize the sale, the surrounding employees and assistant manager, Shawn Stittleburg, smiled and greeted me as they passed....again, making me feel at ease and confident that this is the dealership from which I'd like to make such a significant purchase. Finally, I was assisted by business manager, Peter Bothe, who walked me through everything I needed to know before signing on the dotted line. Amanda, Katie, Shawn, Peter and the rest of the Wilde East Towne Honda staff are the reason I left the dealership with a new vehicle and absolutely no questions or concerns as I drove my vehicle home.
