After looking at the limited CRV inventory in my local area and not finding much of interest, I expanded my search area and came across Mohawk Honda about 2 hours away from where I live. I debated for a area and not finding much of interest, I expanded my search area and came across Mohawk Honda about 2 hours away from where I live. I debated for a couple days if it was too far to travel, but decided to take a risk and pay them a visit. It was so worth it! First, their selection of vehicles is CRAZY GOOD. My local dealers might have 10 to 20 used CRV’s…Mohawk had over 100 and they were able to quickly pare that down to a handful which fit what I was looking for (trim, color, price, mileage, etc). Second, I had the pleasure of working with Nicole who is FABULOUS. She quickly had me test driving several vehicles, and on the floor looking at a vehicle in a slightly different color. Then in discussing the CRV I liked the best, there was no hard sale. Price was already competitive (in the KBB “great price” range), so the only negotiation was on my trade-in. They came in a little low compared to what I had in mind for the value, and Nicole was quick to bridge that gap, almost to the point where it was a coin-flip between convenience of doing a trade-in, vs extra cash from selling elsewhere. I opted for cash (less a small Uber fare to get back to Scotia from Albany), but I can easily see someone else opting for convenience. Last, the supporting Team behind Nicole knows their respective areas VERY WELL. Prince (in delivery) did a great job in guiding me thru all the CRV’s features, so much so that I probably won’t open the owner’s manual for a while. Justin (in Business Office) took me thru the paperwork in record-time, compared to marathon-like signing events I’ve had at other dealerships. Overall a great experience from start to finish.
