Income falsified to lender to get the deal approved! Jan. 31, 2017 my husband passed away. On 2/7/17, 7 p.m. I stopped to check out the Prius, during the 2 hrs I was there I was asked if I could afford Jan. 31, 2017 my husband passed away. On 2/7/17, 7 p.m. I stopped to check out the Prius, during the 2 hrs I was there I was asked if I could afford $695.71 pymts, yes, (I could at that time), shortly after 9 p.m. I was taken into the business mgrs. office & he rushed me into signing & initialing all kinds of papers & I wasn’t given the chance to put my glasses on to be able to read anything, the sales person & business mgr. wanted to leave for the night. I was sold a Prius Two my pymts are $695.71 for 5 years so the total price is $41,742.60 In all reality my pymts should be no more than $375 a month. On 3/17/2017 I stopped by the Dealership spoke to sales person about a GPS he told me he’d get back to me. On 3/19/2017 @ 4:30 p.m. v/m from Salesperson. I retrieved the msg @ 6:34 p.m. The v/m from the sales person wanted me to call him on his cell phone & he left the # plus it was on my caller I.D. I returned his call, @ 6:36 p.m., he asked if I was going to be home the next day (Monday 3/20), I said yes, he said he was going to stop by & see me. He called at 11:35 a.m. on 3/20/17 & inquired if I was home, I said yes, he said he’d be at my home within the hour, I said ok. I thought it had something to do with the GPS inquiry. When he arrived, he sat on my sofa & patted the middle cushion for me to sit NEXT to him, I chose to sit across the room in my lift chair. He immediately asked me for $4,000 saying he needed it to pay the IRS & he’d pay me back in May when he got his commission check. I told him I didn’t have it! He then asked for $2,000. Again, I told him I didn't have it! He left immediately. I called my neighbor & told her what he wanted! I then called the dealership @ 12:34 p.m. & spoke to the G.M., he said he was going to talk to the salesperson & would get back to me, @ 1:49 p.m. my call was returned. I was told the story the sales person gave to him, I told the G.M. I’d be there within 10 min. as I did not live very far from the dealership. I met with the G.M. & the new car mgr. in a private office, they called the sales person in & he stated: Why would I ask her for money when I had $2700 in my pocket & that he had just put it into the bank & held a white paper saying it was the receipt, in his right hand, with his back to us standing in front of a table with a coffee maker, he then left the room. I was told they would fire him. On 3/22/17 a friend called the dealership & asked to speak with the salesperson. The new car mgr. took the call & asked if he could help & my friend stated he only wanted to speak to the sales person (we had the call on speaker phone, so I heard the entire conversation) The new car sales mgr. told my friend the sales person was on vacation & would return the 1st week in April. When I got home I called the dealership & was told the sales person was suspended. (definitely not the same as fired). I attempted to reach The Owner of the dealership but was told he was on vacation. I stopped into the dealership & who walked across the showroom floor but the sales person, I was speechless! At a later time, I went to Phillips Buick & was told the owner had returned from vacation but was out sick, so I spoke with his son in a conference room & told him what had happened, he asked how he could help I told him I wanted the sales person fired & stated I can’t help but wonder how many others he has tried to or has scammed! He said he would take care of it! July 5, 2017 10 a.m. I had an appt. for the car to be serviced! I was amazed the short amount of time it took, the service person came & got me & said I’ll walk you to your car, I thought this is odd, then 1/2 way to my car the new car mgr. came out from the side showroom door & said: We no longer want your business, you are not welcome here, you are not permitted on our property ever again so take your car elsewhere to be serviced! WHAT? I was in a state of shock & left speechless. In April I discovered the dealership inflated my income saying it was $5900, as I attempted to trade my Prius for the Niro and when the lender was called Kia was asked why my income dropped to $1856 from $5900. When Kia told me this they said I told you the dealership had to inflate your income to get that Prius deal to go through. Kia was 100% right. I then called the lender & spoke to a supervisor & told them EVERYTHING, my file was documented. So, did the lender contact the dealership? So, is this the reason they no longer want my business to service my new car! They got caught giving incorrect income information to the lender just to make a sale? I never filled out a credit app it was printed from the computer, it was one of the forms that was pushed in front of me to sign that night on 2/7/2017 shortly after 9:00 p.m. Then to top it off they added gap insurance & an extended warranty which I told them I did not want either one, so I had to return to sign additional papers to have these things removed. This would have cost me additional few thousand dollars more to my car loan. They took advantage of a retired, recently widowed female! Just to make a car sale! Salesperson tried to scam me by coming to my home wanting money! This has caused a lot of undo stress over the past 9 months. The balance owing on the Prius is over $23,050. They not only inflated my income, but they also inflated the price of the car & I found out it is the cheaper Prius! I never did hear from the owner & I had left my information with the receptionist & the son! More
