Every person I had contact with at Merchant’s Auto was helpful, friendly, and did everything they could to make sure it was a positive experience. They didn’t try to sell me a different car, they answered all my questions and gave me ample time to check it out and test drive it, no pressure! My husband and I received an email from Merchants Auto stating they were interested in purchasing our used vehicle (this was an instant offer through KBB). We emailed back and forth to set up an appointme stating they were interested in purchasing our used vehicle (this was an instant offer through KBB). We emailed back and forth to set up an appointment, and I was very clear we were not interested in trading it in or in the market for a new vehicle at this time but will be in the coming months. I scheduled the appointment and was told to ask for Samir. A different gentleman greeted us (Butch or Rich or something...he offered his business card but clearly missed the mark when I said I would never come back and will be sure to share our experience) and said Samir was not available, then refused to acknowledge the offer I had in writing stating if the car is as stated, they would give $500 over the KBB value because they "are desperate for used vehicles" The guy gave us a very low offer, said he would only honor if we were going to do a trade. I have zero interest in working with this company again. When the time comes for a new vehicle, this is the last place I would ever consider. Bunch of scammers. Beware. More
