Going back for round 2! I needed a car for my daughter last week, and HCOC did a fantastic job getting her into a '16 Accord that fit her budget. I've known Robert Cooper for years, and purchased from him several times, and he always takes good care of me. We did so well that my Mom is buying from them this week. An Immense Game of Pass The Buck I recently bought a 2017 Honda Fit from this dealership. If I had to do it over, I would not buy from them. The sale was contingent on a couple of rep I recently bought a 2017 Honda Fit from this dealership. If I had to do it over, I would not buy from them. The sale was contingent on a couple of repairs being done. I live almost 4 hours away so it is not easy for me to make it up there. I schedule a time for the repairs to be made very early morning so I could leave in the after noon with the full tank of gas the sales rep promised. I CC-ed the sales rep (Wadner Charles) and the finance manager (Steve Conti) who approved the repairs and when I got there that day, the repair guy who performs those repairs was not in because he never works Saturdays. The sales rep and the finance manager had 10 days to read the email, get back to me, and let me know not to come in on that day but neither one of them did. Even after speaking with the supervising manager (who was smirking the whole time like he was holding back a laugh) nothing was done and I had to drive 4 hours back home WITHOUT the full tank of gas they promised me. It is very clear and evident this dealership only wants your money and lose their integrity and ethics the second you sign the car loan. I've been trying to get a hold of the customer relations rep Linda McDonald since this happened and she is either not working, phone is busy, or won't return my voicemails. I've never walked into a business where so much of the staff is dodging accountability, responsibility, and blame. Apparently no one reads their email, checks their voicemails, and "is with a client" anytime a client who already bought a car needs something. My recommendation is to drive another 20 minutes out to the next Honda dealership. I have already file a report with the Better Business Bureau. More

Bought a used Buick I bought a used 2008 Buick from Rhett Holston at Honda of Columbia with no warranty. Two days after, the lights in the dash quit working. Robert Coope I bought a used 2008 Buick from Rhett Holston at Honda of Columbia with no warranty. Two days after, the lights in the dash quit working. Robert Cooper asked me to bring it up. I was told to take the car to Herndon Chevy and let them see if they could find the problem. Herndon worked on the car, found the problem and fixed it (it cost Honda $500). Robert had told me they would spend $500 toward the bill and split any after that. Honda of Columbia didn't have to do anything because the car was sold with no warrenty. For them to make sure that a used car was satisfactory is something that a lot of sellers wouldn't do, For this reason I will give them a 5 star rating. I also feel that the price of the car was a good deal. Thanks Honda of Columbia for a great experiance. More

He was friendly too, but not in that overly-friendly car salesman sort of way. More

Dishonest with the customer Mr. Cooper assured me that a used uncleaned CR-V that was sitting behind the dealership would be available for sale on a very certain date and that my Mr. Cooper assured me that a used uncleaned CR-V that was sitting behind the dealership would be available for sale on a very certain date and that my daughter and I could come by then to test drive. Well, that didn't happen because Mr. Cooper sold it the night before it was due to be available for sale to us. When confronted Mr. Cooper tried to sell me on a Kia Soul. A KIA SOUL, REALLY? All that as if nothing had happened. It meant nothing to him to sell a car right out from under a wanting and waiting customer. I had met and spoken on the phone with Mr. Cooper in the past and he knew I was looking for that right car for my daughters safety and when I thought I had found it he just up and sells it to someone else. My daughter and I will find another CR-V but it will not be from Honda of Columbia or Mr. Cooper. When the CR-V needs servicing it will not be at Honda of Columbia either. It is such a shame because at first glance Mr. Cooper seemed like such a nice, caring and honest man that day we first met on the used car lot and also when we spoke on the phone. I was wrong. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. There will not be a twice. More
