Great Experience I knew what I wanted, but I couldn’t exactly define it. I was looking for that pre-owned vehicle that 1) “Didn’t Look Too Used”, 2) “Didn’t have Too I knew what I wanted, but I couldn’t exactly define it. I was looking for that pre-owned vehicle that 1) “Didn’t Look Too Used”, 2) “Didn’t have Too Many Miles” and 3) “Didn’t Cost Too Much”. Although defining “Too” was difficult, I felt that “I’d know it when I saw it”. I had a list of vehicles (researched online) that I wanted to see, but they were all over the board with regard to make and model. Ben French introduced himself and offered to help, when he saw me wandering around the lot (on a Saturday). He patiently helped as I checked out all of the cars on my “interest list”. We then went into the store and he helped me search for more vehicles that might make my list. Not being able to decide, I set a time to come back (on Monday) and take at least one of the vehicles out for a longer/highway test-drive. On Monday, we worked out the details and I made a purchase. In addition to Ben, I also had conversations with Tim Riley (Sales Manager) and Tom Fascetti (General Manager). Both of whom helped with my comfort regarding both the vehicle and the purchase process. I really appreciate the No Pressure sales approach at Dean Team. This was the 3rd vehicle that I have purchased at Dean Team Hyundai and I will definitely go back when I need another. More

Given a table to sit and asked if we wanted something to drink, talked about what we were interested in buying and what we liked. They were very professional and looked at the car we wanted, the whole experience went very good, no problems and received the car that day. This is our second car with this dealer and everything went just as good as the first time. We plan on buying our next car from them as well. Thanks Justin Flynn for being nice and give us the great shopping experience. We are so happy for our purchase. I recommend to my whole family and friends buy in Dean Team.. More

Questionable Practices *UPDATED* 2/12/16, Dealer Made Amends *UPDATE* We returned to Dean Team Hyundai today, Friday Feb. 12th, while we were back in the area visiting other dealers. We were curious if the brak *UPDATE* We returned to Dean Team Hyundai today, Friday Feb. 12th, while we were back in the area visiting other dealers. We were curious if the brakes were fixed on the vehicle, and if so, we still wanted to take a real test drive and check the car over. As stated before, we did like the vehicle, just not the salesman. We again talked with Tim Riley, and were assured the brake system would be brought up to snuff. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a call from Tom Fascetti prior to our return, extending his apologies for the awkwardness of our prior visit. We made it clear that we wanted no contact with Rich Pfuhl, as our previous encounter with him left us less than impressed to say the least. The dealership agreed, and when we showed up we dealt with Tim and Tom exclusively. This was a very different visit to Dean Team Hyundai, as we felt more welcome and unrushed. The car's brakes had been serviced and test-driven, and we were given the keys and the personal time to take the vehicle for a private test-drive. We were very pleased with the work that was done, and we finally had a chance to fully inspect the vehicle. We were very happy with the vehicle after the test drive, and returned to make a deal with Tim and Tom to purchase the CR-V. We appreciate the courtesy extended to us after our first visit was less than productive. We also appreciate the patience that was extended to us during the buying process. Thank you Tim and Tom, it was a refreshing return to the dealership. For anyone curious on the prior visit, the original review is listed below. We believe Dean Team Hyundai has come through after the first visit reviewed below, and happily made efforts to remedy the distaste we had from the first visit. The only thing that we still believe from our first review is that dealing with someone other than Rich Pfuhl at the dealership is your best option. He was very deceiving, asked very personal and inappropriate questions of us, and conveyed the textbook stereotype of a shady used-car salesman. Dean Team Hyundai has fully regained our trust as a business, just still don't care for Rich. *Original Review* (Below) I arrived at Dean Team Hyundai today Wednesday Feb 10th, after talking with Rich Pfuhl for close to a week, about seeing and test-driving a Honda they had on the used car lot. Before we even showed up to the dealership, numerous callbacks and pressures were made by Rich to put a down payment on the vehicle, as he stated, "There are other people coming to see it RIGHT NOW!" This happened on Saturday, and then again on Wednesday when we took the 3 hour drive to see the vehicle. After stating that we would take the chance that the Honda (that they have had on their lot for close to 8 months to date) would still be there, we drove to the dealership. Upon arrival, the vehicle was waiting for us to drive. With all the pressure to put a deposit on the vehicle to "save" it from other buyers...they had to put a new battery in it to start it. Rich made this sound as if this was a plus for us...yet all I saw by this was this car has sat unused for quite a long time (no one beating down the door to test-drive it apparently!). As soon as we took this car on its first leg of the test drive (consisting of pulling out of the lot) the brakes began to make a loud thumping noise, and vibrate the vehicle. Both of us there to purchase the car immediately noticed this, and Rich stated, "I just drove it 25 miles yesterday, I cant hear it or feel it at all...the car drives great, believe me!" First, he told us that he just put a new battery in the car today to get it running, not yesterday or last week as he stated when we called Saturday, and he wanted us to complete a test drive with damage to the braking system. We immediately turned around and took the car back to the dealership, where the Used Car Manager Tim Riley took it for a drive with Rich. Within a minute, Tim parked the car and sent Rich back into us. All of a sudden Rich could feel the brake system "vibrating", and immediately stated, "Good catch, the rotors are bad." That is one of the quickest diagnoses I have ever seen from a non-mechanic...especially one that couldnt feel the problem in the prior 26 miles he drove it! Besides this, we were assured that the vehicle would be taken into the service station, and the rear brakes fixed. We were still interested in the vehicle at this point (which, looking back on the lead-in to this point, we shouldnt have been!) and continued to talk about price. This is where Rich became very short with us, and tried to pressure and lie to the both of us on the offers he made to us, as well as fees and discounts. Apparently, an online price, quoted on both their website as well as other sites, is the "Veterans" price that they offer [Dean Team Hyundai offers $750 off any vehicle to veterans, which is commendable, yet Rich flat told us that this is really just an online price, and the online price for all vehicles already include this $750 discount for everyone.] Once we heard this, we were taken aback! Its either a blatant lie to further himself away from negotiating a price for us, or Dean Team Hyundai uses a false offer of $750 off their vehicles to veterans to bait potential buyers into their dealership...I really hope the latter is untrue! After stating our final price that we would consider for the vehicle, Tim and Rich went over things and we could not agree. Now dont get me wrong, this is no problem to us. We have a price we are willing to pay for that vehicle, and they have a bottom dollar that they are willing to accept...thats business, and I completely agree with how this went down. And further, Tim Riley was very polite and helpful to us throughout the whole experience. Rich Pfuhl, on the other hand, came off as a deceitful salesperson, that has a pension for lying and misleading customers. As you can clearly ascertain from the above synopsis of our visit, I have no trust in Rich, nor do I completely trust a dealership that can employ such a man. Maybe our visit would have been more pleasant with a different salesperson, or at least would have shown up to test-drive a vehicle that didnt have a damaged braking system, but I would rather take a chance with a different dealership at this point. Oh, and Rich, please fix the brakes on that Honda CR-V...I know you stated that you were doing us a favor by getting them fixed, as you could possibly sell this vehicle to another buyer without fixing them, but I would rather see you fix the brakes for the safety of the customers that you put behind the wheel - not skip over safety to save a few dollars!
